Tim - it is WORTH pointing out on the Blancpain that the rotor is made of solid gold, the artisan finishing on that gold is truly amazing and provides character to the rest of the finish.

I have loved GO for 25 years now. They were nothing more than “insider’s tips” back then. I don’t think there’s a maker out there right now that’s moving in a better direction than GO right now. Beautiful watches from an amazing maker!

The OP 41 looks such a versatile daily wear, very elegant. Other than availability (which should free up in time), I don’t know why anyone would choose a datejust over it. DJ gives off an old man vibe with the centre link polish or jubilee. You can sell an old man a young mans car, but you can’t sell a young man an old mans car.
@mkyhou11604 жыл бұрын
Mohnnad Mercedes Yeah - it should be as common as a DJ. Remembering the 39s they were a little hard to get if you wanted a particular color but normally ADs would have a few in stock. This shouldn’t be a limited model like the steel sports, but it will be for a bit sadly, hence the watchbox price.

Tim Mosso, two crossints and a strong cup of coffee, the start to a perfect Wednesday! It's all good, but my favs start with the Rolex Oyster Perpetch 41, I'd take that over an over priced Sub, the FPJ Elegante has to be the best quartz watch made - very innovative, and while I don't care for tourbillions, that GO black and white cookie really hits the mark, nothing Germanic about it, surprising style. And of course the Sinn 900 Pilot. Don't know how I missed that in the Sinn catalogue because it sets a high mark for pilots' watches and may break my current infatuation with IWC. Thanks for a good morning Tim!

Those OP41's are just too big. I cant believe how the price of their most basic model has just ballooned. You can get so much better for the money.
@Weakeyedominant4 жыл бұрын
@SuperNeutronStar I agree, 99% of the people buying them are to resell and the idiots on the secondary market that think they are getting a rare watch for investment purposes. If they are paying 7-8k they will be hammered when they try to trade in with a dealer. The Tiffany dial makes sense in the OP34 or 36 for women, no heterosexual man would wear that as an Op41 in public which limited the number of genuine customers massively.

The loom on the FP Journe is counter intuitive. At bedside, it will remain at rest in middle of the night when glancing at the watch - defeating the purpose of the loom. You have to physically reach for the watch and move it to see the time, not exactly intuitive while waking in middle of the night.

I've been waiting to see the OP41 on Tim's wrist, mine is 15cm, and... OP41? No it looks silly! What the hell Rolex was thinking dropping the 39mm OP's I'll never know. Shows how out of touch they are, I thought we were done with this oversized watch trend because that's all it is, a trend, not a lasting design principle. Might as well be 50mm. Unless you have a giant wrist, this watch will look ridiculous. Edited to fit standard view.
