How do you like it?

I'm loving this car. I own a low mileage 2006 CTS Sport Luxury and It's my favorite car out of all that I've owned of some 50 years. Including very fast cars and family cars and hot rods.

in comfort mode, the fake engine noise should be disabled. I like the high tech suspension in these cars. Headlights/taillights are the only unique part of this car compared to others

You can select 'stealth' mode. Nice and quiet.

Great review! Thank you for being very detailed. Is Cadillac a realizable brand? I’m considering getting this car or getting the Acura Type-S I’m waiting for the Type -S to come out and test drive it.
@MotorTys4 жыл бұрын
Yes Cadillac are reliable. However, just like the new Type S the engine is all new so longevity hasn't been tested. Just make sure you get a warranty with any car.

Good job, kid (I'm much older than you). This whole "not a REAL V" stuff will cool down in a few months when they unleash the CT-5 V Blackwing. Spy videos with audio suggest the Blackwing has the big old LS supercharged with an HP/TQ total appx. 700/700.

I'm glad you acknowledged that this is the first rendition of the CT5...for folks who may be slightly disappointed with how the dash is more simple and functional rather than hi tech, know that it has already been confirmed that certain key upgrades will be included for 2021 such as an optional 12 inch fully digital gauge cluster, wireless CarPlay, premium leather wrapped steering wheel, and Cadillac's semi autonomous driving technology known as Super Cruise. I hope the 2021 Escalade is an indicator of where the brand is going...I do think Cadillac is making an attempt to rebuild itself back into a key player in the luxury sedan market but knows it has to provide value first and then slowly move back up to premium features

Other than turning off the radio , can you defeat the exhaust sound coming thru the speakers ? I think 🤔 it would get pretty tiresome on a long trip !?! Thanks

I’m a Caddy man any day of the week but the slant on the back of the CT5’s cabin makes it look like a Sonata.

@@paulcondie2520 Sounds good. And trust me, I’ve had 3 Caddies: it’ll be the smoothest ride you can feel but get every bit of warranty available because things are gonna break on it left and right.

@@smokeldogg same. I've had 3. Currently have a 2015 ats 3.6 premium with performance pkg. My warranty is up in apt 2021. That's when I plan on getting the ct5v. No issues yet on ats. Yet! Lol

Nice car sexy but a cap-less gas cap so to speak is expensive to have to replace when it wears out about $1200 for the service cars that use the gas cap $15 for gas cap GM and Ford both know what their doing here😂😂😂
@THE_A.RAVEN1 Жыл бұрын
You just have to let the automatic transmission show you where you shift, it’s weird but short shifting slightly is faster and it makes cooler noises. Or at least it does on the LF4

bro great filming but your audio is everywhere. Some parts are too quiet, I turn it up then suddenly gets super loud. Not enjoyable for people wearing headsets

Who said it was underrated? Of course its still less power and slower than an old cts vsport.

I think it’s underrated because no ones talking about it and not may people know about because if Cadillacs poor marketing.

@@tylerblackwell235 They have horrible marketing. I only see ads for the small SUVs, and pickup trucks from GM

Cadillac V used to scare all but the super cars until this generic water downed version (that has less power than the 1st generation V) came along...Cadillac has gone full on Oprah with this false fake V...."You get a V....and YOU get a V"

Love that redline noise before the upshifting! Did you find the transmission to "pause" slightly after each up shift?

I purchased a new CT5V and it is a nice car. My car had a MSRP of $64,390. I look at Kelly Blue Book and Trade In Value is $43,350. I traded a 2018 CT6 3.0 TT Platinum and the trade in is $45,725. The CT6 was a much better car. Not happy at all.

They need to replace the larger CT6 with a less sporty, higher luxury sedan than the CT5.

Honestly feel Cadillac has dropped the ball on this one. Other than the Cathedral tail lights and a badge this could be better off if GM put a Chevy badge on it and called it the new Impala.

Oh common, if this car is anything like my cars I drove...ATS, CTS, CT6 then it is a piece of garbage. I forgot the Escalade. It broke down and was recalled 52 times in 3 years. If you see the back of a Cadillac, you must be sitting at SERVICE!

@johncipolletti61392 жыл бұрын
@@sanj5026 Hey, you don't need a power train warranty or even a tire warranty. Why? If these vehicles break down as much as mine (24 times) or my neighbor's Escalade (52 times), none of the other things should wear out.

A caddy for 65k?? What are we, mobsters? For that much I'm sticking with a BMW or Mercedes. There's a reason Germans are best sellers in that price range...
