Cadillac is on point with their new V series, not everyone wants a V8 600+ hp vehicle, but they offer it it you want it. I like how they also offer the V series 360hp that you can drive everyday to work like I do.

So the ct5v v6 fit a segment. But the new mid size replacement to the atsv is just woefully underpowered. Im in the market for a car and i love the cadillac but the change from last gen to this is quite underwhelming unless we drop an additional 20-30k

Glad you mentioned the new 400Z having a manual. I have a 370Z myself as a DD, have been considering getting a Q60 Red Sport for the longest time. I would love to get into either the new Supra or 400Z but these west Texas roads are attrocious with potholes, cracked roads and all types of bumps you can imagine possible. When I pay my Z off, I want to get into something faster than what I have now, preferably turbo'd, but more comfortable also. Would love a Supra but manual isn't offered, which Toyota got alot of flak for, and it's got a fairly stiff suspension. The tech on the Infiniti is outdated and way too overpriced for what it is. They're pretty quick tho and they look nice as hell on the outside but nothing interior wise on them has changed since 2017. It's still got the same nav system that was on the Q50 when it came out in 2014. Only thing they've done to the nav system since then is made it a little less laggy and put in Apple Car Play and Android Auto, which they finally did last year. I just think the Red Sports are too outdated for too much money and you don't get the best bang for the buck like you do with this beautiful Caddy. All the newest tech, beautiful inside and out, and starts at 47k, can't beat that. I feel like this will probably end up being the car for me in the end!!

The 370Z's successor is not the 400Z, and its engine is not 4 liters in capacity. It's just called the Z. No more, no less (unless you're in Japan where you refer to it as the Fairlady Z). And its engine is 3 LITERS in capacity! Had it really been the 400Z, it would have run on a V8, a VRH40 to be precise...which is against the Z's character of "going fast with just 6 cylinders" (the S30 432, believe it or not, ran on a 2-liter inline-6 like the C10 GT-R). It's 1 year late, but we all know back then that a car named the 400Z DOES NOT EXIST.

I love this car! Should I wait for the black wing, it all depends on how much speed I need. The interior while very simple and businesslike still has all the right material in all the right places. 2021 will bring the full digital dash, now that I require it, to be more competitive. Also drove a CT4-V series all black. Love the blacked out look but do you prefer the CT5-V exterior design to the 4. I would agree with you it is definitely worth the extra $5000 in price difference.

Agreed. The new line up just isn't all that good to look at. The year they switched the badge/emblem style, around years 2015-2019, was Caddy best year! Escalade, cts, cts V, ats, ats V, ct6 was popping. The new line up i only like thus far the XT4, XT5 etc, those cross overs look great, everything else exterior wise has an identity crisis for sure.

Even worst, caddy made the interior screen like all other cars (toyota) looks like it just was glued in place. So many issues man. I own a cts V 2016. Caddy new line up has no sedan im intrested in. They drop the ball on the exterior design. But the ct6-v 2019 looks gorgeous. I was hoping to see another good looking sport luxury sedan. Current lineup is basic.

@@ra-di2wu infotainment center replaced, turbo's rebuilt, muffler replaced. For a while all the speakers on the driver side went out, working now though, its probably waiting for the warranty to run out to go out for good. Its currently at the dealership becausr the driver door wont open due to the remote locking actuator failing. 2 issues that remain unresolved because GM refuses to honor the warranty on, my sd card is corrupted, and my rear brakes squeal.somehow the pads are glazed over.

I was thinking to get a 2020 they are good price here in Canada 45k for v6 used it looks like a full sedan luxury and sport Seems like well put together car in terms of all aspects however I'm not sure about reliability I always had issues with American cars but this was long long time ago never owned one yet I have jetter and engine head gasket blew at 200k km on it lol garbage I thought they were good vw but changed my mind as they all made in Mexico with cheap quality parts and engine diesel however vws are the best last long time I really really like this car the looks the inside the speed engine I'm thinking about it still Thinking this or 2020 bmw m340 or 2021 which are about 50k Canadian used with maybe 50k km on it About same price both depends on the km which is what matters in Canada mostly more km less money In some months I have to decide or get an SUV like bmw X5 m50i which is 60 to 70k I also like the new Ford bronco middle class model But I just cant stop thinking about this Cadillac it's in my head for some reason it just looks like a full package looks like it's good for the money for all the things you get

All hope is infact unfortunately lost, the CT6 has been discontinued for a while now which was actually an amazing car, and these 4 and 5's power wise, and looks wise, and this whole diluting the V brand is unfortunate. They really had it going with the ATS and CTS, CT6 styling, which we now see with V3's skyrocketing in prices, from 55s to even 70-90K now in the last few months

No more than MB and BMW’s proliferation of AMG and M brands…they’re following the same playbook. I do regret Cadillac doesn’t offer a large sedan, but the CT6 was a poorly executed effort in that segment, especially related to packaging (it was small inside) and interior design/quality.

@@user-iu2kq7nx8u Yes, I’m very familiar with the rear-seat packaging of the CT6. It’s a large car overall but lacks expansive rear-seat legroom. The S90 we went with absolutely shames the CT6 with its limousine rivaling space. (p.s. the published metrics say it’s the same, but in reality/application, it is not…interior car metrics are voodoo science since there’s not really a standard way to measure, which is why you have to physically test-fit cars, which is important to me at 6’-6”).

Who's going to buy it? The younger crowd, that can afford it, buys BMW or MB. The older crowd, that can afford it, don't want or need a sports car. The few that can afford it and want a sports go for "real" sports cars. GM needs Caddy needs to make luxury cars. Bring back Oldsmobile or Pontiac for the sports division.

Honestly feel they missed an opportunity to bring Buick some life besides bubbly suvs. The last Regal was German, they could've got wild and brought the outgoing ATS platform over as a regal, maybe in V8 options because it shares the platform with Camaro. CT6 could've ended up park avenue and just drop the LT1 or L83 in it as an option for the big sedan wanters, also would've gave them something besides Tahoe for police options 🤷‍♂️. So many possibilities. Heck even the outgoing vette platform as a roadster 🤷‍♂️. Shame really all in all, other than equinox focus group commercials... GM never advertisiea anything. No one even knows half the products and now they push bubble suvs and gave the car market to the imports. All people know of them is rental counter fleets and miss out on the good stuff.

@@BigEd2006 True, Caddy spent soooooo much effort and hard work making the best drivers car in the compact and mid size sedan category, and the ad for the ATS that I saw over and over again was "grandma in the back seat being surprised the car has wi-fi so she can watch her tablet". There is HIGE disconnect between the cars and how they advertise them. The only time they did well was with the 2011 CTS-V Coupe ads, and it built pure excitement & passion in a car. The regal (same as malibu) is an amazing car, and super solid chassis. Malibu is my daily driver, and has been very dependable
