What a fine boat bud! Like wow! Which prop did it come with and have you tried any others? Mid 50s on that rig is outstanding.

Thank you! It’s a power tech 3 blade 22p, I never tried other props because I was pleased with this one so much.

@@SeaShift It def sounds like you’re dialed in. Appreciate your response. Great show. I also have 300 Suzuki but in a Ranger 2410. Have a 3x20 Suz prop. I’m close but still about 3-400 rpm off.
@SeaShift

@@fishing4dinner thank you for watching! This motor I can get just over 6000 if I pushed it all the way down but I don’t like to run it anymore than 4900 if I want to get where I’m going, absolutely love my Suzuki.
@fishing4dinner
@fishing4dinner 2 жыл бұрын
@@SeaShift I hear ya. It does sound like you’re right on the money. Hammer down and feathering the jackplate I can get 5900 rpm with a tail wind going with the tide. Otherwise I’m around 5650-5700. I’d really like to touch 6k. As a byproduct my hole shot would improve.

@@fishing4dinner yea does sound like you have a little bit left for sure, better holeshot always be nice, fastest I’ve had this boat was 56mph

I just put a deposit down on the 2021 powered with a Merc 250. Anything you wish you had on this boat? Any options you passed on that you wished you wouldn’t have?
@SeaShift
@SeaShift 3 жыл бұрын
I actually got the boat maxed out on the options I believe, it’s the LE edition. One thing I wish that the boat had was a small head in the console for my fiancé when we on the boat but it’s not a deal breaker. You will love this bot it rides so nice. I would recommend a trolling motor absolutely and a power pole. The boat with a backplate to is a very nice addition for those shallow water areas.
@jasonspring6970
@jasonspring6970 3 жыл бұрын
@@SeaShift Thanks for the feedback! I’m definitely getting a power pole and trolling motor. You actually reminded me about the jack plate. How skinny of water you get into with that boat? I assume you have a jack plate as well?
@SeaShift
@SeaShift 3 жыл бұрын
@@jasonspring6970 yes I do have a 6 inch jack plate, I can get into about 14-16 inches of water. I love the jack plate, something I never knew I wanted. This boat came with extras I personally wouldn’t have gotten but after I have had them I can’t live without lol

@SeaShift
@SeaShift 3 жыл бұрын
@@jasonspring6970 no not yet, my most recent purchase is the autopilot for the big motor but I have thought about it, maybe in a year or two I will. Definitely in the future though, I have a thru hull transducer on the bow so I don’t have anything on the transom

What hold do you have your motor mounted in, mine is the middle holes and the hole shot takes forever. I am thinking to raise the motor and going to a four blade prop
@SeaShift
@SeaShift 2 жыл бұрын
I have mine on a Jack plate so I can adjust mine. However at all levels my 300 Suzuki takes a minute to get out of the hole as well. I have to use my trim tabs everytime
@bv4879
@bv4879 2 жыл бұрын
Mine is a 200 suzuki in the middle hole, on a jackplate that is not adjustable. I am thinking to go to the last hole, then possibly a 4 blade prop. With 4 people on board, they have to be if front of the console to get out of the hole.
@bv4879
@bv4879 2 жыл бұрын
@@SeaShift I am told the issue is the Hull design and the suction it creates. Boat rides awesome, just embarrassing how slow the hole shot is.
@SeaShift
@SeaShift 2 жыл бұрын
@@bv4879 Do they have to be up front even with the use of trim tabs? Yes the comfort of the boat running 35-40 MPH on a day where its a foot and a half chop on the intercoastal is incredible. She flies and lands great and cuts through the chop with ease.
@bv4879
@bv4879 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, even with trim tabs it takes a football field and then some. The motor seems like it lacks power for the hole shot, zero prop slippage. I thought maybe a 4 blade would help?

Seaborn fx25 or key west 250 bay reef????
@SeaShift
@SeaShift Жыл бұрын
Of those two, I would prefer the Sea Born. Great boat, and I love mine. However, I still think I prefer my FX24 over a FX25. I don't care for the Key west 250 bay reef design all that much. The FX boats hold the beam pretty far on the bow and a comfortable ride, speaking on the FX24 of course.

My boat will keep up with you haha with a 150 you got a Slowzuki im running a merc 150 4 stroke on my 20x6 flat 20 tranny your no faster hahaha

"slowzuki" gets me 4MPG iI amm fin with my speed and my reliability. However that need for more speed is always there but 50MPH on water s fine with me. Fastest I've had her is 56 WOT. I'm fine with that lol
