2020 Sea Eagle TC16 - It Leaks?!?

I got my Travel Canoe 16 (Sea Eagle TC16) about 10 months ago and noticed that there was always a lot of water in it after a paddle. Was it leaking or was it just from getting in and out plus the splash of the paddles? Sea Eagle had a look at it under warranty.

In regard to durability, do you think the canoe can withstand dog claws? Thinking about getting this and paddling with our puppies. Great reviews, and I thank you in advance

Danz, the material is similar to a whitewater raft and is meant to bump and drag across rocks in whitewater. I would take a dog with groomed claws in it any time. If you look closely, the seating areas have an additional layer for sandy feet and footwear. I'm glad you like the reviews, thanks!

Could you comment on the stability. I bought this canoe last year, with the traditional seats, and found it very easy to tip over. Even on flat water, if I don't sit in my knees it wants to overturn. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Todd, I haven't had any issues with tipping over in this. It seems to have low initial stability so feels a bit tippy but we quickly compensate. I don't do any fishing from it, though.

I have the same feeling. The problem is common for drop stitching type of kayak or canoes. They are very light, and we seat higher,so it is not stable. I remove the seats and seat on the floor, then feel much better. But eventually I sold it and switch to a sea eagle explorer 420 kayak
