I love that Joan Chamorro always includes a list of the musicians in the video, and I miss seeing that in this video. It's a great video of a special performance, and I enjoyed it. Still, it would have nice to see who was performing.

Excelente interpretación de este clásico jazzistico, hecha por una fusión entre músicos de dos grandes orquestas de jóvenes, la archifamosa SAJB del maestro Chamorro y la menos conocida pero también estupenda Borondón Big Band. Extraordinario trabajo de ambas orquestas para la promoción del jazz y la formación de jóvenes músicos. Alba Armengóu lo borda, como siempre, en su madurez como vocalista a sus escasos 19 añitos. Y es que esta chavala lleva desde los 8 años comiéndose los escenarios en plan estelar, así que con 19 se podía considerar ya toda una veterana. Koldo Munné y Joana Casanova (también formados en la SAJB) son grandes saxofonistas, aunque ella es incluso mejor cantante. José Alberto Medina es un gran pianista canario que lo demuestra en un bellísimo solo. El resto de miembros de la orquesta no desentonan en absoluto, gran nivel, con nombres también muy conocidos, como los saxos Marçal Perramón y Alba Esteban, junto con la baterista Xerach Peñate. Cada uma das cantoras do grupo do Joan tem um jeito muito particular de cantar e de interpretar. O que mais me encanta na Alba é essa postura no palco e essa voz meio metálica e cortante. Tem momentos que não parece voz de uma cantora de hoje, mas de uma cantora muito mais velha do que na verdade ela é. Quero ver como vão ser essas interpretações quando ela amadurecer e se tornar uma pessoa com mais experiência de vida. Vai ser ainda mais incrível.

Great combination of both bands. Just hearing this for the first time. Of course, Alba is in fine form as usual. I am very impressed with the drummer here. Don't know his name. Very savvy, in the tradition of Arnau Julia and the great Abril Sauri. Love this performance. Oops--now I see the drummer is a girl. OK; very well done.

For me it sounds, unfortunately, that the piano is somehow a little bit out of tune compared to the rest of the band, which is OK. Alba was in a tough situation, especially in the first minutes. Another note: has she picked up a couple of kg? :-)))

Not the best version. I did not enjoy the pianist and was Alba’s voice a little off at times ? She didn’t seem to enjoy the session. Joana’s short solo was great. Alba, please wear some prettier shoes; you are performing in front of an audience and a smile would be appreciated along with your normally lovely voice !
