Can this upgrade be done on a 2008 sierra? Are the 2019-2020 calipers/rotors the same on all full size GM trucks/suvs? Also, can it be done using the stock gmc 18in wheels?

Make sure you replace your brake lines with steel braided ones. You can tell a huge difference.

It will work but DO NOT run it without the washers. The washers center the rotors. Without the washers the rotor is all cricked and will be very bad.

This may be late but 2005 suburban brakes fit but need a backing plate trim and the parking brakes are different. You end up with a 2 pot rear caliper and rotor about the same size as the factory front brakes.

@@jimmytwotone2127 there’s no need to remove the dust shield during this swap. it’s behind the spindle. Shouldn’t even be messing with it. You don’t need the spindle from the new Silverado and you don’t need to take yours off

@@ArcFireX fact. Big brake kits only increase the durability, heat fade resistance, and better/shorter pedal engagement. I'm not calling you out. I usually do big brakes too. But you stop at the same distance. Especially so with ABS. Combo of physics and computer aided braking. Physically can't stop you sooner by more than the margin of error.

Comes silver. Painted the caliper to look nice and painted the rotor for the video. Brake use will take most of the rotor paint off.
