2020 Toyota 4Runner gets a Toytec 3" Lift with SPC Control Arms

This 4Runner got some tasteful mods while still keeping the factory look! We installed a 3" Toytec 2.5" Diameter Aluma Series Lift with SPC Control arms, the customer kept his factory wheels and added some 255/80R17 (33") Cooper Tires! Let us know what you think!

Does the 255/80r17 add overall vehicle height as well ??? I did a 3 inch lift already on my 4runner, but have 285's but everyone says that the 255/80 adds height, even more so than the 285/70r17.

It should be a really negligible difference. By the spec, you're talking about a difference of less than 1/2" larger total diameter. Tire brand and style can affect that somewhat, but in general a 255/80 is less than 1/2" larger tire than 285/70

Nice video. Are New upper control arms and a new sway bar necessary when doing a lift.

That's going to depend on how much lift and what factory options your vehicle has. Upper control arms are often required and included with lifts so the alignment specs can be retained with the taller suspenison.

Wouldn't the angle at which the lower control arms sit also change with the lift -- more inclination? I am curious if anything was done to address that?

The angle of the LCA's does change slightly, not enough to affect ride quality. Most notably the changes alter alignment, which, with the SPC UCA's we are able to perfectly within spec!

@@MountZionOffroad Are you a Toyota certified shop ? Just asking since when I told my dealer I’m getting this done they said use a certified shop. Crazy to me ! And had to be Toyotech lift suspension
