This video made me feel so good about putting these tires on my 23 4Runner 40th Anniversary. I'll be using them to go to Mt. Hood and Bachelor in Oregon, USA. I had Pirelli winter tires on my Mini Countryman JCW and went through a foot of snow in that. Tires make such a HUGE difference. I prefer going on unplowed roads than the ice sheet that comes after they plow.

The Limited is the only AWD setup on the 4Runners. The sr5 has the same 4x4 system but without the lever to engage 4x4. SR5 uses a switch (the switch does look similar to the Limited) but the transfer case and 4x4 system are the same as the TRD off road. SR5 doesn’t have off road program modes like MTS and crawl control. It only has ATRAC. Anyway, only the Limited is full time 4 wheel drive. All the others are part time. Except the rare 2x4 versions.

The Appalachian region is worse every winter but I agree with you, the whole mountainous region of VA is overlooked. Most of the southwestern counties get more snow than most counties in WV, more than a lot of counties in Ohio, and so on. All people need to do is Google those counties averages. The county in VA with the highest annual average snowfall is Wise County. The snowiest place in VA (😊😁 is Burkes Garden)
