Toyota Corolla / RAV4 Engine Maintenance Required See Dealer message displayed on dash and infotainment system. This is your problem and part you need to replace. Buy the whole valve assembly with hoses for the RAV4 but only buy the valve by itself for the Corolla. The reason being is the hose is pressed on the bottom of the valve for the RAV4 but has clips on both sides for the Corolla. Don’t pay $600 to have this Coolant valve replaced. You can do it yourself for $125. I also spent $25 on a gallon of Toyota red coolant. I still saved over $450 doing it myself and it took less than an hour and I only needed a basic socket set with a 10 mm and 12 mm socket And a small screwdriver to release the C-clips on the hoses for the valve.
