Thanks so much, Eddie. Hubby and I are contemplating becoming full-timers post-pandemic so I'm spending the isolation time researching everything possible (I subscribe to the theory that one can actually learn a lot from others without having to actually experience the sting of the lesson yourself!) Like your wife, I fell in love with the Leisure Wonder right out of the gate and try as I might, I can't find anything else that comes close to it as far as storage capacity or meeting my minimum necessary creature-comfort level in a B or B+, especially considering it will become our "tiny house" for hopefully the next decade or so. Your tour with the mechanic was really helpful, especially for a right-brained, kinesthetic learner like myself. Will be catching up on your videos and then following intently in hopes of learning all I can before we even find our rig, and avoiding every misstep you make in the future! Thanks so much for sharing your RVing life lessons! - Cat

Thank you for sharing this, I too am interested in the 2021 Wonder RL- the same video that put you & your wife over the top. We were Unity FX fanboi's 'til Deano went a 'lil cray-cray over the 2021 RL. I believe that LTV's B-Van heritage is what gives them a leg up on space management, multi use utility and elegant space solutions. They certainly pack a whole lot into an otherwise tiny space, while making it feel light and airy. I hope that it exceeds all of your expectations- very excited for you!!!

He did a good job explaining but should be able to answer all Eddie's questions. A couple of examples, he didn't know the type of fuel required and also said he wasn't 100 percent on the cleaning time. All things he should know and be able to convey to the customer that just spent 120k plus.

Congratulations on your new Wonder RTB! You’re going to love it, I’m sure. However, you got a 2021 Wonder built on the 2020 Ford Transit coach (not a 2020 Wonder). The 2020 Wonders were build on the 2019 Ford Transit diesel chassis.
@TheScenicExplorer4 жыл бұрын
Hi Philip - Thank you for reaching out. I can 100% assure you it is a 2020 Wonder on a 2020 Ford Transit chassis. That is one of the reasons I was pretty upset, because I only found out it was a 2020 the day before I took delivery. This is one of only a few that fell under this 2020/2020 build.
@philrodo4 жыл бұрын
It has a gas engine, right? All gasoline powered Wonders are 2021 models. The 2020 Wonders were all built on the 2019 Ford Transit diesel chassis. We picked up our 2020 Wonder RTB in March 2020 (we lucked out and found the model we wanted on the showroom floor of FretzRV in PA and it came with all the options we wanted). We first saw it in late Jan and put a cash deposit on it, but couldn’t pick it up until March because I had to get our trade-in to them first which was stored in TN. Anyway, about a month later, LTV announced their 2021 gasoline models which caught me by surprise as they hadn’t publicized much about switching to gasoline chassis. As far as I know (and this topic has been discussed on many FB posts on the LTV Enthusiasts group), all Wonders built on the 2020 Ford Transit gasoline chassis were designated as 2021 models. Perhaps, the dealer declared it wrong when they got it titled with the DMV or something, but if it runs on gas it must be a 2021 model as far as LTV is concerned.
@TheScenicExplorer4 жыл бұрын
Here is what happened. There were some (not sure of the amount) 2020 Wonders that were built with some of the changes of the 2021 wonder models, but not all of the changes (new layout, new latches/handles on the exterior storage doors, etc...). Mike and Jennifer of RV Lifestyle have the same example of this. And Triple E has designated these as 2020 models. So as MOST 2020 Wonders are on the 2019 Ford diesel chassis, not ALL of them are. And trust me....I was NOT happy when I found out this was a 2020 and not a 2021. I prefer the newer layout as well as the new exterior latches/handles on the storage.
@philrodo4 жыл бұрын
Interesting! In the past they would have designated such a major mid-year model change as they did with the 2015.5 model change in the Unity. I went to the LTV site to look at the model changes you mentioned and unless I’m mistaken they’re still showing the 2020 floor plans. I don’t know why they’re so slow in updating their website and manuals (the manual we got with our 2020 is based on an earlier model, like a 2019 or 2018, with an addendum added to cover the basics of the Firefly control panel which they first added to the 2020 Wonder RTB. I watched the 2021 videos and didn’t see major differences in the floor plans between the 2020 and 2021 models; the only difference I observed was that they did away with the Lagun table and replaced it with a pedestal table in the 2021s-I much prefer the Lagun table. I hate the outside locks on ours and was envious of the new locks they’re now using on the 2021s. I first thought that I would have preferred a gasoline engine, but we seem to get better gas mileage with the diesel, though diesel prices are usually higher. We learned to look for diesel when driving through smaller towns or on secondary roads as we can usually buy it much cheaper than the prices at truck stops off the Interstates. It will be interesting to see if buyers of used RVs will place a premium on Wonder diesel models in the future.

Hi Gary - I appreciate the feedback. This coach was ordered months before I put money down on it, so I wasn’t able to pick out any options on it. Thank you for the walk through. How long and wide are the beds? They looked short, might have been just the angle. I am still trying to decide if I want a Class B, B+ or a Class C.
@TheScenicExplorer4 жыл бұрын
Hi Sharon - I don’t have my tape measure with my right now, but I can tell you that I find the beds to be plenty long and wide. I am 5’8” and weigh 185 lbs, and I am totally comfortable on the bed. My 70 lb golden retriever even joins me on the bed sometimes, and we are totally fine. I did add a 2” foam topper that I picked up from Walmart and that has helped keep the beds cool, and added a little cushion to the mattress. I also was choosing between a B, B+ and C, and I will be doing a video in the near future about why I went with a B+, but I can say that I feel like we definitely went with the right choice for us. Perfect balance between comfortability, storage, and can still go almost anywhere a class B can go. -Eddie

Good question Ron! I’m thinking it’s a matter of simplifying their selections. Unity = Diesel, and Wonder = Gas. But that is just my best guess. I’d like to hear pros and cons concerning gas vs. diesel from everyone! Gas is cheaper than diesel, but does servicing cost a lot more on a diesel? Thanks! I like the Wonder RTB because of the “garage”, hoping I can put my husbands elec scooter in it! Can anyone give dimensions of the slide that comes out of garage? Thanks!
@TheScenicExplorer4 жыл бұрын
Hi J S - I have never owned a gas vehicle before, so I’m not the best at providing a pros and cons of gas be diesel. However, I love having a gas rig. My biggest concern was lack of power/acceleration and I can assure the Ford eco boost has plenty of power to handle even the mountains of Tennessee. Gas is cheaper and the MPG on my rig is great as well (14 to 16 MPG). I also don’t have to worry about adding DEF, and the more expensive service costs of a diesel system. So I am happy with my choice.
