After a big fall racing mx in 1987 I spent over three months in a deep,deep coma.Doctors said I was brain dead,heart stopped three times.After going through hell and back to recover I can now ride again...After riding Kawa and Honda for over thirty years,I now look forward to returning to riding on a new Yamaha Mt03.Ride on - Ride safe.

I have last years model (australia) blue and black. Great bike. I'm 49 yo returning to motorbiking after a 10 yr break. It has power, grunt, usable and silly top speeds (over the ton). Light weight. Great handling.. really what more do you want??? and cheap! And yes i'm a short Ar$e... but ripping good little bike...

I’m new to bikes, 5’8 and 175 lbs. this seems like a good fit for me: reliability and just enough speed. I know beauty is subjective but to me it’s styling is awesome compared to Z400 Honda’s CB’s--by a long shot.

5'8 here and about the same weight. Bought this bike a couple of weeks ago and very pleased with it. I fit into the tank really well and just flat-foot it too. I think you'll be very happy with it.

Gentleman sounds like a bit of a big bike snob. Looking for low end power on a small high reving bike. I'm thinking the older japanese 250 RG and TZ or even the RZ350 weren't torque monsters.
@cyclenews4 жыл бұрын
Sorry you feel that way. The simple fact is there are bikes in this category that offer more performance for very similar money.
@StreetHawk20204 жыл бұрын
@@cyclenews Really only the Kawasaki Z400 meets that criteria. Beyond that it comes down to styling and dealer preference. Not sure if the Duke ever solved the issue with the case studs stretching and causing head gasket issues so I'd take pass on that one.
@MrDavidfuchser4 жыл бұрын
@@StreetHawk2020 If your talking about the dukes head warping from heat they solved that from 2018 onward I believe. However the z/ninja 400 has the more desirable engine due to the broader torque curve, I've ridden both. But as you mentioned I guess it really depends what kind of look a buyer has the hots for.

So you're saying... not a good choice for a new tall rider
@DPloiDEBT4 жыл бұрын
I’d recommend used 650s for taller riders. Kawasaki 650s, Yamaha MT07, Honda 650s. I’ve heard Honda 500s have taller seat heights but you’d have to do your own research

@@alejandrogonzaloconejo9678 I'm about 6'1". You'll probably be ok, but I'd suggest you go and try this and the Kawasaki and see which one you like better. I feel the Kawasaki is a better fit for riders as tall as us.

The bike looks sick especially in black - very sinister. I almost went with it but instead opted for the duke390 - a lot more equipment and tech for the money even though it is $1000 more expensive. However, a special in financing brought the payments within $7/month between the two so it was a no brainer.

Can this bike sustain 80 mph on the highway?
@cyclenews4 жыл бұрын
Barely
@FrankCoyle4 жыл бұрын
80 mph is about 128 kph and in 6th gear you can sit pretty comfortably around there. I commute on this bike every day. It'll go up to 100 mph but I wouldn't be super happy about staying there for long with such a light bike.
@FrankCoyle4 жыл бұрын
@@cyclenews You'll hit 80 mph by accident if you're just enjoying the ride. "Barely" is really not a fair assessment I think.
