One reason to put small windscreen on is it keeps bug out from behind dash and easier to clean. One mod i feel extremely worthwhile is the G2 throttle tamer. Makes everyday cruisin alot smoother. Just rode my buddies which i sold him my old G2 throttle tamer from when i had my FZ09, then hopped on my other buddies MT09 that has the stock throttle tube and the ridability/twitchy-ness difference is huge. But i ride a 2016 KTM SD1290R, so maybe im just used to amazingly smooth fueling

I got a modulator in my bike too. First couple things I did was swap out all the lights for LEDs and put that strobe modulator in.

For tires, Michelin Pilot Power 2CT is king. The 2CT (2 compound technology) performs extremely well and helps to prevent squaring the rear tire.

Hey cruza, I have the shorty windshield and levers and bar end mirrors. All 3 items on Ebay- chinese brands were less then $100 CAD. Highly recommend the bar end mirrors. 27$ on ebay. Transforms the look of the bike. Ride safe 👍

I would recommend the Yamaha quick shifter. Bike is already wired for it and the kit is very inexpensive. I love mine on my 2019 Ice flo.

The only wind screens that don't look like chinese cheapo knockoffs are the Yamaha OEM (a little small but looks good) or the MRA Racing one (a bit expensive @ $165 but looks great and functions well). I have the MRA and its great. It deflects alot of road grit and bugs on the highways and also helps cut through facing winds. A must in Miami traffic with crap flying all over the highway. It gives you just enough to duck behind when a big rock or car shrapnel gets flinged at ya.

bar end mirrors make it possible to see somethin besides yer elbows.... because moving to see or turning around is what i end up doing... the factory mirrors are fine tho.... i have the xsr and say EXACTLY same thing... its just about the fun im live on dirt road rural arkansas so i will add adventure type tires, bar end mirrors an hand guards.... first will be suspension tho

The MT09 does nothing for me, idk why. You did do some nice tasteful mods though, no doubt. I would put that tinted fly screen on, it makes it look better IMO. Maybe if I rode it, it would change my mind? You've had all types of bikes, so if you say it's got good low end torque, I believe you. If it's putting a smile on your face, that's all that matters, other people's opinions mean nothing.. Especially mine 😆.

Looks sick I have exact bike Yamaha blue haven't flashed mine yet but I stay in standard with traction control off most the time so I can get the front wheel up a little lol yours would look good with black levers but if u dont need them is what it is. my clutch lever is bent dont ask me how so I either get a new one so bike looks perfect or look goofy riding with a ghetto 2 finger clutch lol

Cruza, I've never been to the track and I'm definitely not a road rossi. Lol. But that torque and just a touch on the shifter at 8k rpm without letting off or use of clutch, is magical. The millisecond shift is orgasmic. Trust me on this. I thought the same thing. P.S. we have basically the same bikes
