MSFS2020*Graphic Settings "NOT" found in the Sim* Improve Clarity, Colors, Pixelated Clouds!

Advanced Graphic settings for Microsoft flight Simulator 2020 that are found in the config file. I will go over several settings inside the config file that will help make your sim more clear and les pixelated surfaces. I will also go over tips for vr users and users that want to use dlss but have to issue of blurry screens in the cockpit. There are a couple settings that can help with that . Nothing of what i will go over today will improve performance and should not reduce performance as well. Everything i go over today is specifically targeting the picture quality in the sim. Please note that these setting changes will not resolve all of the issues you are having but can greatly reduce certain issues. Great coverage foe folks who are trying to get the most out of the Sim. Some before/after shots would have been useful. Film Grain really should be a in game option as that's a pretty standard option in games.

Thanks for the comment. I don't do before and after shots it takes to much time and most of the settings are personal preference. That's why i explain what the settings do so you know what to look for when you make a change .

I always do click the like button. It's just polite to do so. In defense of those who didn't, though, it should be noted that every bit of information in this video has been available since about a week after MFS was released in August, 2020 -- i.e., the big majority of viewers who were familiar with it probably stopped and moved on before thinking about clicking 👍🏼. Considering that several videos with this information have been around for years, then you have to wonder if this video was stepping on the toes of those who went to the same trouble already, which might be another reason for skipping the "like button."

@Buddy308 yes I did this same video 2 or 3 years ago . I guess I'm stepping on my toes? .. A lot of older users of Microsoft flight simulator and I say older not meaning your age, but when the flightsim 2020 came out , are privy to this infornation. However a lot of older users forget that we have new users coming in to the market every day And for some reason, KZbin doesn't show older videos or don't pop up as readily as newer vids also as we progress in the channel we learn new things and also change how we educate viewers on things like editing things like that. Thanks Michael 😊 I have tried that software a couple times . Just recently about a couple weeks ago and what I found is yes it makes the surroundings clearer but had a negative affect on the glass screens and made those more blurry. I was also using taa mode . So I removed it . Others like it . So maybe personal preference

i love your settings video they help alot with this simulator. But gust for be sure changing this settings can make the game lag FilmGrain, Sharpen, ColorGrading, Fringe ?

That's a ms issue there not much you can do .

It's not going to show it as an option. It's going to physically change it in the SIM and it should say 4096 in the sim. If you change it in the SIM you're not gonna find that option available Which is why we were doing this in the config file.

I recently found your channel and you've been so useful to my simming experience. Thank you so much ♥️ One think though, I don't know if you can help but if anyone reading this can help please reply. I have two monitors, my old pc monitor (dell) and a tv that I'm currently using. I have everything plugged in correctly, hdmi to vga for the dell monitor but its not displaying anything. I've watched a lot of videos but nothing is working for me. Ryzen 5 3600x 16gbs Rx 580 8gbs. If anyone has a solution to the problem that I'm experiencing please help. I want to sim on full screen and use the second monitor for navigraph, that would be a good feeling 😅

I have community folder short cut on my desktop it has the following I haven’t put in my username - username > AppData >Roaming > Microsoft Flight Simulator > Packages > Community It has my add ons in it but I can’t work out how to open local cach It’s Steam version . Thank you for your insights on tweaks and settings I've never seen before in 20+ years of flight simming! I'd like to hear your ideas on the famous CTD where the warning says: "Your graphics device has encountered a problem and the application will exit. Error: dxgi_error_device_hung 0x887a0006" There are other similar error codes ending in 0005 e.g. These DXGI errors are the most viewed bug in the Install, Performance & Graphics bug section on the official MSFS forum with over 151k views and so far nothing helped for me.

@ersTried that as well. Checked my Bios for overclocking and only found XMP AI overclock for RAM which makes no difference. Tried googeling the error message without being related to MSFS and ended up on reddit. I don't get it. The sim used to work fine for 2 years and suddently stopped working. Old drivers don't change anything either. Direct X12 is off as well. Settings to medium on a RTX 2070 Super. So many combinations of things and no success at all. Thank you for your time!

@@stephan6340 For me it was geforce experience overlay & msi afterburner running on the back. Once i removed both those error were gone. Happy simming.

This doesn't have anything to do with auto FPS tools. These are graphic settings.

The reason I asked : I'm playing around with settings in MSFS, Nvidia and hardware for VR and I notice something , well call it weird. In MSFS I'm using TAA, and my headset is a Crystal. I'm using it at 90Hz, so the normal stutter free sweet spot is between 43 and and 47 FPS. Just to try something I turn on HAGS and put put the Crystal at 80% resolutie (3500xsomething) FPS dropped, yet for some reason with HAGS on it's stutter free between 30 to 47 FPS. HAGS off and your back to the old 43 to 47 FPS stuuter free sweet spot. (I'm using a RTX4090 by the way) Just thought maybe you noticed something as well during your testing.

Hello. The videos are very instructive. Thank you very much. I have an interesting problem that I would like to get your opinion on. I would be glad if you help I bought a new desktop computer. My internet speed is 25 mbit. Unfortunately, many times while downloading msfs it was interrupted and continued again. There is a very interesting problem. The game has completely downloaded. Langing challenge is working. I can download in Content Manager. No matter which airport and which plane I choose on the map, the first choice I open appears as soon as the game opens. I also made the option to merge files in the Steam account. Even the main download, which took 170 GB, was done again. unfortunately the problem was not fixed. No matter which airport in the world I choose or which aircraft type I choose, after clicking the READY TO FLY button, the first plane and airport choice I made continues to appear as soon as the game opens. I’m afraid to delete the game completely. It takes 2 days to upload with this internet speed. I did not start other installations for which I purchased content manager until this problem was resolved. Can you help on the subject?

That sound like a reinstall to me but don't merge files just install it and try it before you do anything else .
