Thank you !... This video is from 2021 but 2022 started the same way. Winters are milder here!

Another great winter daysailing! There is no doubt that GIS is fast - it has a larger sail, it is longer, it looks good, but I am interested in how and if you like it.

Yes, still a nice navigation, interesting to better know the GIS. I am comfortable on board. my first observations between the Skerry and the GIS: the GIS is more stable than the Skerry (heavier, wider, ...). The GIS is higher on the water (better protected from projections in the waves). The sail of the GIS is large but with 1 reef (8.2 m²) I am almost at the same speed as the Skerry with a "standard" sail of 6m². i thought i was faster (maybe i usually miss). Otherwise, I notice that my Skerry is more lively, more nervous (it is lighter). "Chasse-Marée" told me to be impressed with the way of tacking, almost flat (videos next time if possible). The problem I have is the weight. I have a problem with the trailer, it is too heavy for me to easily lift it out of the water on its own ... I'm looking for a solution, otherwise I can't get out on my own if I feel like ... any ideas ?...thank you !

@@gisskerrykeleren3614 The weight of the GIS hull ... She is a really light boat for her size, but I've never been able to maneuver her on land by myself. Pulling out of the water or launching - minimum two people, but how steep it is - minimum three. We are always the two of us. We use inflatable rollers on the beach, but look for sand. When we were stationed in the marina with a concrete slide into the water, the three of us had to launch. Skerry seems perfect for a lone sailor! Probably easier to put on a trailer than my BETH! But we were carrying it on the roof of Daewoo Matiz :-)))

Great boats. Where did you get those sails from? Especially Skerry and Passagemaker.

These 2 sails come from Nozo (near us, St Malo): www.voilerie-nozo.fr/category/categorie-voilerie/vieux-grement/
