This really opened my eyes to the Skerry as I have been looking into the passage maker, but I was blown away at the speed of the Skerry both beautiful sailboats.

Well it seems that the Skerry is kicking the Passagemaker's ass, but I think the reason is that the skipper in the Passagemaker is sitting too far back so the stern is dragging in the water. It seems a trivial observation, but it's actually an important aspect in sailing, to keep the stern clear of the water.

Yes, the Skerry is more efficient than the PassageMaker. I agree with you, but for the boat in the video, the skipper being heavy, the boat sinks more from the stern. His back prevents him from moving too much in the boat, he sits better like this but he cannot move forward more (he is just in front of the bench). On the PassageMaker the bow being "round" it is not easy to put it flat. To compensate he put 40 liters of ballast at the foot of the mast so that the bow lifts less... In any case, having tested it several times, the Skerry is faster.

Hello, je découvre vos vidéos et votre bateau : très inspirant … vous naviguez que sur la Rance ou vous faites aussi des sorties en mer ?

Merci beaucoup ! Nous naviguons beaucoup en Rance car avec les marées dans le basin, nous avons des grandes amplitudes pour mettre à l'eau, l'emplacement est facile et le parking aussi. Vous pouvez voir également que nous allons aux Ebihens, dans le Golfe du Morbihan, etc.. Par contre, si "Dinard" correspond à la ville, je suis preneur de bons tuyaux pour mettre à l'eau "facile" et garer 2 ou 3 remorques ;) merci par avance !!!
