Wow!! Did you build every battery bank yourself?! That is amazing! I sent you a couple other messages on your other videos and you channel. I am attempting to set up off grid 48 volt system with used telecomm Absolyte battery bank. Trying to find out the best way to connect and charge the battery bank(s). I will have to make cables since neither bank came with connection plates.

True is that but my fixed angle panels are tuned for late spring so production is not what it could be. Thanks for watching and commenting

@@offgridwanabe I still have lots of syrup from last year. But yes that is a wonderful time of year. The fam is great. Baby is gaining weight every time the nurse comes. Seems to be all good in the hood. 1.59% mortgage rate. Pretty happy about that.

Have you ever installed a back up generator to top off your battery bank?

How does the Sun GTIL work with both solar panels and battery? The manual that came with mine said if I checked battery, then MPPT was disabled. So how can they be left alone to be both solar and battery? How do you hook it up?
@offgridwanabe2 жыл бұрын
I just use it on battery and use a charge controller to charge the battery.

How many cells total do you have in your bank? Also, when topped off, how many days of use can you get with no charging? Do you use a elec hot water heater for the house? Thanks
@offgridwanabe3 жыл бұрын
7680 A123 lifepo4 cells in my bank it will last a couple of days which is about 50 kwh at a very low discharge rate but I seldom take more than 30 kwh out as I never use either end only the middle of the curve so from about 41 volts to about 37 volts. I have a 3 way system for hot water 1 standard tank with 240 volt elements on timer to run during high sun time, 2 Desuperheater on my geothermal furnace, 3 Eco on demand heater to boost if required seldom runs. My house is 100% electric no wood or gas or oil heat. My total bill this year was under $40 a month I have a well and septic system. Thanks for watching and the comment.

@@offgridwanabe 7680? Wow! That's one hell of a bank with those cells. Id much rather have those vs lith-ion as i have, 5600 18650's currently. Also have a pack of spim08hp's parelleled with those but im in the building stage. All have been tested alread, just building. I too will only be using a narrow range of the cell voltage to prolonging the life. In az we have plenty of sun so that will be good, combating the heat will take a hit cooling the house and power room
