Detailed, concise reviews, best I've seen. I personally like when you compared other vehicles to the Hyundai and wish you would have went full tilt between the Palisade and Telluride. I just ordered a Palisade Calligraphy. I agreed with you that I, like others prefer the Telluride exterior but the Palisade interior and better options won me over. Higher tier speaker system with two more speakers with metal grills. Quilted leather door and seat trim with color matched body wheel surround. Electronic shift with more above and below storage. Power folding 3rd row. Double the cup holders in the 2nd row and 3 year app support with 3 year oil change and tire rotation included for the same price!

I traded in my 2015 Genesis, and I have to tell you it's very similar to that, which is a good thing. What I didn't know is how easy the air filter is to swap out, which is super cool! Hi, I just bought a 2022 Limited and I don't understand a few things: 1) The paddle shifters and why I'd want to use them, and, 2) the auto stop feature for driving in traffic. 3) can I use the cruise control just like a regular cc without the adaptive feature? 4) why doesn't my limited have folding side mirrors with the puddle lamps. We didn't really notice this until we got it home. Thankfully we don't need auto fold, but it is nice. I don't get why the Limited in the Santa Fe has the folding mirrors but the Palisade limited does not. Thanks so much. Great video. Better than our sales guy did with us.
@edsgarage0012 жыл бұрын
Hi, thx for the comment. So there's going to be a few differences with the one in my video as I'm in Canada. The paddle shifters are great if you're wanting to gear down whilst driving down a long steep hill, or if you just want to have a bit of fun. What's your question about the auto stop feature? I haven't tried this yet, but apparently if you hold the cruise set button for ten seconds it switches to traditional cruise.... But that may just be a thing in other markets. The reason there's no power folding mirrors is because there was an agreement with Kia, that only the telluride would get them and not the Palisade. Are you sure it doesn't have puddle lamps? They do in Canada....
@alisonb99632 жыл бұрын
@@edsgarage001 Thanks so much. I don't understand why we have that blasted auto shut off as all it does is wear out the starter. I'm still confused about the mirrors that don't fold or have the puddle lamps.

@Alison B I have a Equinox and it does as well .. but some vidos said put in gear 8 or 9 and It will stop doing it .... maybe this one has the same
@edsgarage001 Жыл бұрын
Actually, It doesn't use the normal starter. It uses a motor/generator in place of the alternator and a high tension accessory belt. That electric motor can easily start the engine millions of times. Also, when the auto start stop system shuts the engine off, it's done in such a way that the engine is primed and ready to restart super easily putting even less stress on the motor/generator. This system works... And it works well. It's also saving you between 3% to 5% fuel. (Depending on how much city driving you do)

Are the cooled seats air on cooled or ambient air in the car cool. Live in Africa and it’s a must.
@edsgarage0012 жыл бұрын
They're cooled using the ambient air, however there's a climate vent under the seats. So they do pull the air-conditioned air right from where it comes out of those vents. This is pretty much how it works in every vehicle with ventilated seats.

Probably the best vehicle demo on KZbin, very well explained 👍 well informed as well. What’s the deal with towing ? It’s rated for 5000 lbs towing ONLY if the trailer is equipped with brakes. Without trailer brakes it’s only rated for around 1600 lbs, that’s odd and why is the reason ?
@edsgarage0013 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Safe trailer towing is more about whether or not you can safely stop, then it is about whether or not you can pull. The v6 with the 8 speed could probably successfully pull 8000 pounds. But the brakes on the vehicle aren't safely up to the task. Especially in areas where there's hills. Keep in mind, that 5000 pounds is including the occupants and their cargo. These numbers are actually pretty standard. For example, the Toyota Highlander has similar stipulations/limitations
@vrod1a3 жыл бұрын
@@edsgarage001 Thanks for the quick reply, I am aware of towing safety, been towing for over 20 years, What I meant to ask is trailer brakes required for Palisade, is it because of vehicle limitations like body, frame etc or just safety guidelines ? I can tow up to 3000 lbs in Ontario Canada without trailer brakes, my boat trailer only weighs around 2000 lbs, I currently tow with a Honda Ridgeline with no problem pulling or stopping. No other SUV or truck has the trailer brakes restrictions , it’s only state or province laws.
@edsgarage0013 жыл бұрын
@@vrod1a it varies by province .. We've got a lot of hills here But you'd be surprised, a lot of manufactures have the difference. Like the example of the Highlander... It's 5000 with or 2000 without trailer brakes

Are you sure it was a Palisade you were sitting in? Lol 😆 So the seats are a soy based foam, they soften up as they warm up. They do indeed tilt up, the same button that moves the entire seat forward and backward also allows for seat height and seat tilt. Odd that you found that the seats don't go back far enough, you must have very long legs, I've never had any complaints about the leg room. Nor have I ever heard anyone say the seats were uncomfortable, as they have so many movement manipulations, you can really set them up any way you want. Strange.
