I know you don’t have this vehicle anymore but this is so interesting because compared to the 2020 base awd we have, the braking is one my favorite features about the car, it’s extremely responsive and smooth. in my 2021 camry the brakes feel “stickier” if you will. and our rdx doesn’t do the wrong-gear thing, but my camry does it a lot. it stays in a higher gear after braking and if you give it a lot of throttle right after slowing down it drones for a while before finally being in the higher gear it needs to be in, if that makes sense. unless you gradually give it more throttle which gives it enough time to find the right gear. but the camry likes to be in a lot lower rpms than the rdx because it’s tuned for max efficiency. i usually get 35 mpg in it. in the acura it’s around 25-30.

Never buy a 1st or 2nd year vehicle. But as far as the transmission is concerned, there is a way to reset it so it can re-learn your driving behavior for a smoother ride. Ask the dealer to do it for you the next time you bring it in.

Well mine is the 3rd year model for it. And it’s a parts bin model so mostly everything is shared with other Honda/Acura products.

@@IAmTheKiaKing wow, try to bring it in to see what they can do for you. I remember my brother buying his Lexus (GS F-Sport) & it had all sorts of problems. We eventually were able to get the dealer to take it back. We went to another dealer & he bought another GS F-Sport. But the second time he got an example that wasn’t left on the lot, but rather one that didn’t even have all the plastic wrapping taken off yet on their multi-level garage. Try to bring your Acura RDX to Acura so they can at least fix the problems. I’m sorry your experience isn’t what it should be.

I have a 2021 RDX A-Spec SH-AWD and have zero transmission issues, regardless of what mode it is in. I also don't have any gaps. Did you not do a walk around of the vehicle before signing the lease?

I have a 2021 Advanced with AWD, and I think the brakes are fine and I’ve experienced no issues with the transmission. Sounds like you may be a more aggressive driver than I am. On the highway I’ve easily get 28 mpg and Im averaging 22 in the city. I’m not a fan of the touchpad or the stupidly designed transmission button selector. I always have to look down every time I try to change from drive to reverse when making a three point turn.

The gas mileage is so true. Mine 2021 ASpec SH-AWD have an average of 18.5 miles. With the CarPlay I think it should be your phone. Good review though

I cant believe I just listened to this thinking I was gonna find something informative. It’s the “i have all these problems with my car but not gonna do anything about it” vibe for me. Did you test drive a different vehicle? So should we as a consumer get an RDX or not? That’s the bigger question we want answered.

Lol it was an ownership update. It wasn’t anything else. Not once did I insinuate that I’d give advice on whether or not to buy one. Sorry that you set yourself up for false expectations.
