I bought a brand new 03 TL-S and still own it. 260k miles, 3 transmissions (2 under warrant, 1 I did from 07 accord @ 147k no prob since) is it other than Tires, brakes (rotors/pads, couple calipers), batteries, 1 set HIDs. That's it EVERYTHING works and still looks good. Been waiting for the TLX Type-S for Almost year now. Sounds like end of May now. Your clips keep me Pacified with TLX content till then. Thanks!

I am not hating but I came from VW/Audi and the EA888 2.0 engines were pulling 70-80 hp and 120-lbtq with just a tune on 91oct, not even downpipe. I am saying that I am not hating because 2 days ago we just picked a 2021 Acura RDX and we are looking at getting a tune, I am just not impressed by the results and please don't take it personal, it has nothing to do with you is just that I was expecting a whole lot more from the K20C4 turbo. My .2c. on a different note, thank you son much for putting these awesome video, you have a good looking car. We had a chance to buy the blue RDX with the red seats in the past but at the time we were cross shopping other brands, by the time we decided to get the blue RDX now the dealer only had whites and silvers for the most part..lol

I agree, currently owning an s3 and simple tune gain 70+ hp and 100lb ft, from a stage 1 tune is nuts, but I guess the Honda/acura ones need an upgraded turbo to be able to make big gains

Dyno with each Modification is very professional. I really enjoyed the air box open dyno pull that lost HP. Too many aftermarket ait intakes empty your wallet while losing HP and making more noise.

All AWD systems rob some power away even with clutch engaged or electronic system since extra weight will be added. Regardless, it has plenty of Pros specially for the northern regions or off terrain. SH-AWD intents to be high performance specially for power distribution to each individual wheel which has a huge advantages on cornering and acceleration. All AWD systems have their own Pros and Cons. One size doesn’t fits all.

I think the stock downpipe is plenty for the stock turbo set up. The only time I would upgrade the downpipe is if I got a bigger turbo. Intercooler is a must with any tune!

Cool on the downpipe, but we all know the restrictions on factory vehicles is the OEM airbox and the stock exhaust because it's for compliance (noise level reduction, fuel economy.) If you're running the stock airbox (even with a K&N drop filter) and stock exhaust, you're not getting the most you can out of the tune. First car power modification rule #1: Get the most air in, and the most air out. Unless you have a Mazda SkyActiv engine where the software smacks you for opening up the air volume and velocity and just makes the car loud.

The troubles I've experienced and seen others experience with the oils getting on the maf sensor from k&n filters, aren't worth the potential difference in air flow to me. Most people never talk about that issue.

Love the Acura TL I had a 2nd gen type S back in the days. It was the best bang for the buck. Acura didn't nickle and dime you for everything like now. It was fully loaded and the only option I paid was for the navigation. Out the door was 36K. Now I'm a mopar guy with a challenger widebody 6.4 and a 5.7 Durango

My issue with the TLX is that the engine isn't built for modding. And that's my worry with the TLX Type S. K-Tuner with LDP and only 260WHP and 306WTQ? A stock Q50 3.0T (base/luxe/Silver Sport) makes 320WHP and 320WTQ. A tuned Q50 3.0T makes 430WHP + and 500WTQ. Hopefully the TLX Type S engine is more easily tuned.

I have to imagine that was like $2-$2500 for 22 horsepower and 50 ft lbs sod torque (not counting the expensive wheels), i think I would have expected more off of the downpipe , beautiful car though for sure!
