Not for nothin, I have a completely stock Ram 3500 srw and have done nothing to it, and my average at 55mph is about 23/24 depending on route, interstate 21-23 also depending on route. It has the HO and aisin

My heater block just came apart and shelled out my turbo which came apart and shelled out my motor. All of this in a 2017 Ram with 59k on it.

Installed the intake a few weeks ago. An EGR cooling tube gasket could’ve came with the Kit but mine was alright for a reinstall. No big deal. The truck is more responsive and really accelerates a lot smoother IMO, especially getting onto the highway on the on-ramp. Acceleration is only measured by the seat of my pants, so no real data from a dyno. MPG hasn’t really gone up by much, and I’m driving a little bit heavy foot now, so that’s probably why. Honestly I’m very satisfied with the whole outcome. I have no idea how this intake will affect towing.

@Sunofasack, are you still running the stock Air Intake a filter set up? of so would you consider upgrading to an aftermarket cool Air? the Factory set up on my 2021 is pretty good just wondering if it's a waste of money doing the Monstram plus a cold air, on stock motor and a stock tune

I installed this on my 2017 and now I have s code saying fuel pressure to low and it just stalls. Could this be the sensor on the end of the fuel rail not plugged in properly?

@@ksmcdaniel so it appears that when I was removing the fuel lines one or more of the "crossover tube nuts" had become loose. The result is fuel will leak at the interface between the tube and fuel injector. This fuel is apparently routed back to tank so there is no sign of a leak, just pressure loss. I guess it's a good idea to re-torque the nuts that hold in these fuel injector feeder tubes any time the fuel lines are removed because they could become loose in the process of breaking the fuel lines loose.

I installed the banks air cleaner and the intake now when I pull my 12,600 lb trailer I get a engine code engine light come on every big hill I have talked to banks but there is no fix for it yet they’re working on one now

How is the Banks intake doing? I put one on my truck and it was great for the first 2000 miles then got the P0234 code. Dealership says it's because of the Banks intake. I don't know what to say.

I had to remove my Banks Air intake because of codes. I got tired of clearing the codes only for them to come on again. I went back to OEM on my 2016 RAM 2500 Diesel.

Any other motor mods for that kind of mileage? I’m looking at this for my COMMIFORNIA 2015 3500. Only motor mods are Banks intake and exhaust. I’m only on 35x12.5x18

I too would like to know what other mods are done. My 19 mega cab dually with the HO is only averaging 15-16 on the highway. Wondering if I need to remove a few things to help.

Wait...I heard something about a pedal monster. Was that installed at the same time the Monster Ram intake was put on?? If so, I don't take the increase in power feeling from the intake to be true. Just a placebo effect of the pedal monster. Those are just fooling you. They so nothing for power. Step on the pedal harder if you want it to do the same feel and save the money or get it programmed in the tune. Also, 20+ MPG at 90MPH with oversize tires and stock emissions??!!! Definite No. Good info on tooling required for install though! That was informative and thanks for that.

The pedal has a definite delay for emissions.. You can’t step on the pedal faster to get same result.. on my driveway with truck stock you can floor it and takes about 2-3 seconds and throttle comes on slow at 100%. The pedal monster you floor it and it leaves marks and spins tires. It amplifies the signal.. if you think about it it works like a capacitor. Me personally on the intake I don’t have a tune on my truck so I have not installed it.

Installed the same on my stock '16 3500 dually yesterday morning. Quality product and nothing was missing. Cannot notice any difference in the first 125 miles. Time will tell but I expect it to be a $1k jewel than no one sees. I figured that going in but what the hell.

@@nonamelos7705 Also installed the Banks Big Ass filter. I made a trip to the beach and one to OH pulling the camper. No noticeable difference in power. It drives as it always has. The MPG did go down slightly on both trips. We'll see how it does on our annual trip to FL for Thanksgiving. Unless you delete and tune I believe both of the products are expensive pieces of jewelry on a stock engine. And most people never see them. It's like your wide getting a diamond piercing on her private parts. Not too many people will ever see it.

While some dealerships install aftermarket accessories and bake them into your monthly payment, other dealerships are not so aftermarket-friendly. It's best to know your service writer's position on accessories. If he/she says doesn't give you the answer you want, find another dealership.

I actually asked my dealer and they’re ok with most aftermarket mods as long as it’s a good trustworthy manufacturer. With Banks you’re good 👍🏻. Deleting it is another story as that’s being mandated by the gov and the dealership can not say that they approve that…already tried it 🤷‍♂️

You can clearly see from the pics that the EGR is still on. Not sure if the exhaust DPF or anything is off but usually they take that EGR off on full delete

@@DerekMcElwee I'd like to know that as well. It needs to be. I don't think stock would do much because the truck isn't reprogrammed to need more fuel to produce more HP. I'm going to put the elbow on my truck but also tune it with banks derringer when it comes out for the 2019

Banks does not sell things that don’t work. I would only recommend if using a tune or a derringer.. I don’t think you will notice much difference if truck is stock. I have not install d it on my personal truck.
