Absolutely loved this car I had the pre facelift model from 2018 with alot of options...quick spacious and a dream drive. The only problem I had and it made to switch to a 2021 X3 M40i is the boot is deep and spacious in the five series but not practical when you have kids who want to tak scooters and stuff. Amazing to remap giving superb gains and the bergersport intake makes the turbo sound better. This Facelift model looks beautiful

I'm sorry but the 100-200 km/h can't be correct. I have the 2019 540i Xdrive and the 100-200km/h are always around 11s. I've watched many videos on YT with stock cars and the times also vary around 11-12s. I see it was super wet on the day of testing but I doubt that it explains the quite substantial time difference.

I have a 530d M sport edition in the UK. Great car with the exception of the horrible state of our roads in the UK and the bloody hopeless 20" runflat tyres. I have to replace one soon because of a catastrophic visit to a 10cm deep pothole. The car was in adaptive drive but it didn't help with the shock that went through the body work. The Laser headlights are epic. Mine is in Donnigton Grey. I'm thinking of trading it for an Alpina D5, maybe a three year old one with the cd player.

bmw 5 is the best in its class but this model is already outdated, it got 2 years to get replaced. Dont buy the current 5 guys, waite and get a brand new 5 in 2023 which will last 7 years. Never buy a new car in the middle of its facelift period.

I got opportunity to test drive 540i Xdrive with M sport package and at same day to drive M550i (Xdrive) both of them at the unlimited speed German Autobahn. To be honest, it is clear from the start that 540i is strugglinng at speeds reaching 200 km/h. When I give it a more trothle, there is a noticable delay until atomatic transition kicks to the lower gear, and you get this ugly kick feeling. Finally, I tested it on the more steep uphill road and 540i struggled there to accelerate. I did the same route with M550i and the ride was simply mora pleasent and comfortable. No strange kicks when trothling up and accelerating, no sudden reving up to 4500 RPM, uphill climb is handled with little effort, and surprisingly the V8 engine seemed more quiet than 3.0L inline 6 cylinder. In summary, M550i was much mora pleasent and comfortable car to drive.
