It depens where you live and how roads look like there. As well as traffic type and fuel price. Start/stop is a disaster, turns off at terrible moments when you need to go, resulting in half turn off and half turn on situation where car jolts and doesnt move forward for almost 2 sec. Suprise green light or roundabout etc. Bad road comfort and stability is below average at 70km/h, requires to much attention. Fix for it is sport, gives precision and sharpness. But with it comes real pain on you, bye bye kidneys, and your wallet. Every 10k to 15k optics. In future possible suspension fixes. Turning point is disapointing. If you ignore stright line, it is still not a true M. So price of car does not help it.

2015 335d manufacturer spec 0-60 4.5 seconds. I know I have one & believe me & it keeps going after 60 & it’s standard not tuned etc.

An M340D will definitely not corner better than an M3.

Having driven both, m3 is SLIGHTLY better on the lanes but you have to be very critical on 340d. There really is t much in it

My daily driver is a m340d. On motorway I easily achive 60mpg. In urban setting, I do 36mpg easily

M550D, pick one with adaptive suspension, vented seats and heating+cooling when car is off. If you wonder bout fuel and dont mind start stpp go with 540D that is M model. 4 series looks good but its not that good for long term. Considering price drop per year. You dont wana miss and regret.

definatly not the fastest diesel. M550D/Audi s4 / Porsche panamera V8 twin turbo/ Mercedes benz e400D all are more powerful and faster

FYI M550d has 4 turbos and is same from 0 to 100. Audi S4 tdi is slower, Panamera 4.0 diesel has a V8 and is same 0-100 as M340d. Benz E400d again, its from different segment and is also slower. You also look on emissions, lol. M340d/M440d have best diesel in their segment and even on the whole market

Not the fastest diesel buddy, Panamera 4s diesel with 422hp as standard is the fastest stock diesel money can buy. Stop always claiming shit just for some views, you got a thumbs down for that.
