Get a exhaust that makes it pop and bang, proper tune, you can even get a bigger turbo and then the RS4 is really toast. I don't see where the 15k extra goes to. I Really like how it looks too, doesn't have the horrendous grill and its a fast wagon, what more do you want?

@@Fros789 that's true, but you need to understand that performance cars from the factory are tuned in a way that ensures they last a long time. They account for tolerances that ensure the engine is safe to use even under extreme conditions. Tuning utilises the best of the car, but those tolerances are at their limit, meaning, you can't push the car as hard for as long and it won't last as long. So there are pros and cons all round. Only shame I see here is that the M3 won't be available as an estate.

For what it's worth, the M340i can beat the M4 in a quarter-mile. AWD makes a HUGE difference. BMW says it's making 374hp but it's probably more like >410hp. From looking at carwow's other videos... 12.3 - M340i sedan/saloon (12.4 wagon/estate) 12.3 - M4 (ranged from 12.3 to 12.5) 12.6 - M5 (F10) 12.6 - C63 AMG (W204 coupe) 12.7 - RC-F Track Edition 12.7 - M6 (coupe) 12.8 - Mercedes-AMG C63S coupe (yes, the newest one) 12.8 - M5 (E60) 13.0 - M3 (E90)

DuBstep115 a 15k difference isn’t “equally priced”. The new Bmw M3 will cost near enough the same as the RS4. No M3 ever has costed 85k so I don’t know where you got that from. In fact the outgoing Bmw M3 f80 (which still destroys the current RS4 in races) has a starting price of 55k which is less than the RS4? A little bit of research goes a long way..

Yeah they sure figured out their launches. You can see on the older carwow videos that launch control was useless on older BMWs, but now they really got it right, especially with newer awd system which performs great. Can't wait to see what the new M3 will do

Matt, when you call the start of the roll races, by using you radio, the other guy hears “go” after you say it despite the fact that the RF signal travels at the speed of light. To make it fair, have a third person on a third radio call in the start, or use a strobe light.

Matt, you ask for suggestions for drag races and I have one for you to pull together. I drive the X4 M40i suv. It boasts 0-60 in 4.6 seconds. How does this compare to the saloon version? In the race I’ve just watched you have performance estate cars. What does it look like as these two cars against the equivalent suvs? Salons against estates and suvs maybe.. a three way race. Perhaps not just a straight line run but also around a track. Straight up family style (suv) racing. I suspect there will be very little in it and the myth that an SUV is a compromise will be busted wide open. Let’s see it😁
