I agree with you! The new M cars looks really good and I think the grill works with the rest of the body work! People just want to hate, but they will eventually like it. Every time a manufacture makes a change, people hate, then love it! Only takes some time!

@@WildBillJr Sorry but I disagree. The BMW m1 looks amazing, but I see nothing wrong with this either, especially since there are other ways a car company can mess up a design. Just look at the 2018 Chevy Camaro to the 2019 one.

I agree. However, I only feel this way about the M model. On the regular 430i, I think it looks pretty bad in my opinion, more so on the sport ("classic") trim.

@@WildBillJr I don’t see what the big deal is. Just don’t buy one. Hell you can’t buy one anyway unless you order one and that will take six months. Everyone of these sells the moment it gets to the dealership so unless you have connections you can’t get one anyway. So you are in luck. You hate it and you can’t get one. Of course there’s the possibility you couldn’t afford one anyway but I did overlook that one.

I have watched a lot of your videos and I have come to realize that the most convincing sign that a car is good, is the size of the smile on your face. Having said that, I don’t think that your smile is as big in this car as when you drive your GTR but it’s still big enough to convince me that this car is worth buying. I’m looking forward to seeing your review on the 2022 M4 Competition with Xdrive. I just got my wife a 2021 X3 M340i and we both love it so I am looking at getting the M4 Competition with Xdrive.

So one could remove or over-ride the limiter to go from 155mph to 180mph for instant gain in performance.

Yup! I think there is a drivers package or something that removes the limiter. But you could always tune it and it'll remove that anyways

You have to keep the car in gear 7 then change up to 8th at 170 mph this will take you on to 190 mph plus

How do you like the dash? I still have not grown to like the strange mph and tach display. I think the F80 M5 gauge cluster is much better...I am sure once the M5 gets updated with the big grills, the weird dash is also coming...

I feel like the Shift knob gotta disappear if it’s not a Manual Transmission... nowadays you want more space the new F-150 is a Trend Setter when it comes to making the Shift Knob Disappear

With the F150 though, the shifter only disappears when the vehicle is in park, so it only helps when you aren't moving! The only shift knob I can think of that doesn't take up much is the new design in the Porsche models, the small lever you just move slightly to engage in the gear you want!

I love the look of the grill, but this the M cars pull it off better! The M440i/30i just don't have any other body lines that help incorporate the look, but looks are also subjective! Either way BMW is making some changes!

Not yet. xDrive will be coming in July, but only on the Competition models. It will not come with the non-Competition manual models.

That’s what I’ve been told (not from BMW, but from some reviewer from Portugal). It does make sense for BMW not to put xDrive on the non-Competition models, considering that in Europe, you can only get the 3 Series xDrive with the automatic transmission.

I have a review coming of the M4 Comp with the carbon seats. I love those seats! Best bucket seats I've been in for a factory car. That's what I'd buy with this car lol. Both seats are pretty nice!

This was an aweseom spec. I really like the color combo and how all the lines pop. The basic 4 series isnt my favorite with this grille. The M car really makes it work

I dislike the the 2 steps forwards 1 step backwards approach BMW and perhaps Toyota have been taking. The S55 has a DCT now we go to a S58 with a ZF.... I mean the reason for this is perhaps the reason why the Supra also has a ZF. I realize the ZF is a good transmission but I can't imagine the guy who has a DCT and an S55 trading or selling his car to now go to this... Yes visually and perhaps interior/exterior wise it's a refresh but the acutal components here are baffling to me.

Yeah I'm not too sure why they would ditch the DCT. Maybe they wanted a more robust transmission that wouldnt have any issues. I think Toyota might have some influence in BMW these days to focus a bit more on reliability. While a DCT is awesome, this ZF felt way more mechanical then the ZF in the Supra. Lightening quick in both cars, but if you told me this was a DCT, I'd believe you

@@BrosFOURRSpeed The problem people don't realize is that the ZF transmission while good and affordable isn't a good transmission when you put the car into harsh track or open road scenarios. Specfically it's fine around town but if you want to put the car into a corner and then downshift, the transmission will deny you the abilty to actually do that while a DCT would allow you to do it. Try it yourself and you will see...
