If you go back to the very first few videos from 44Teeth, you'll see Baron explaining they were starting this new channel for reviews and to be a bit more "professional" than him just bombing around on his KTM or GSXR. I enjoy both channels, but I loved the older road trips he did on bikes as BVG. :)

Chris (at least on YT) has always been brutally honest (eg bad car accident, depression, some social anxiety etc…) and very funny - while also a whinging, egotist. That’s the draw.

I just did this comparison myself. The beemer is the nicer road bike. The whole bike just flows down the road better. Better low speed manners, better steering lock, better quick shifter etc.

44Teeth is the only channel on the tube that makes me wish I could wipe my memory so I can rewatch all the content again. The majority creating bike-related content on here is either pandering to the advertisers or afraid to say what they really think for fear of reprisals from the manufacturer. 44Teeth set the benchmark the others should strive so much harder to achieve.

i always liked the look of my first gen s1000r, and it felt more roomy ergonomically than the second gen bike. This new one is clearly refined, but i feel it just all looks a bit 'white bread' compared to some of its euro competitors now. Also I cannot forgive BMW for dialing out all the little pops and crackles on decel that the S1000r and XR made on the stock bike.

Never a fan of the asymmetrical - and I have owned one since 2017 - but the new bike’s face looks awful. When it competes with the stunning Speed, Tuono and Streetfighter, it is when coupled to the power deficit a material issue

I'm sure it's an amazing bike to ride, but it looks like a generic naked Japanese bike from 2015. Very disappointing considering BMW have always made the S1000RR and S1000R stand out with their styling in the past.

Cannot believe that lighting set up at the rear. Dangerous I say... How bizarre to think they were ok'd for the UK like that. Even more so when you see that Ducati had to have a different set up for the front indicators on the new Monster for the US market. Great vid though!!

I picked up my S1000R SPORT Racing Red on Friday last week and I have found it to be amazing - extremely well balanced steering, light but controlled confidence inspiring turning into bends, roundabouts, throttle is very very smooth and the suspension very compliant soft when the it has to be and firm when required. The self cancelling indicators are a welcomed addition along with the hill hold assist and I am appreciating for the first time the quick shifter/blipper. It was very easy to connect the SENA units on my two helmets. I am as you can tell very very pleased

The exhaust collector box is a ghastly mess. It's almost like they forgot to finish the bike off. BMW takes some tips from Ducatti.

A BMW shouldn't scare a Super Duke owner. The only bikes that compete up there is the Aprilia Tuono and the Super Duke in my opinion.

You want a fast super-bike with upright seating position? You get the Touno. You want an absurd torque-machine that scares the shit out of you? Get the SuperDuke.

It doesn't have the shiftcam so it does lack a little bit in the top end, but that is to be expected for a streetbike? Aprilia, KTM, Ducati, ZH2 don't seem to lack top end. I was slightly interested in this bike, and then I found out they left out shiftcam, and then this bike died in my mind.

Not sure if Chris comes back to it later in the video but the it looks like BM have fitted Speedo Angels dash protectors... IMO they are total toss because they add a red tint to the screen and look fuzzy at certain angles.

Regarding the rear indicator - I'm pretty sure in the US the indicator works like the headlights in an audi; the brake light on the side with the active indicator stays off leaving only the opposite side brake light on and the indicator side light flashing.

Literally just bought a rad guard for my KTM, after watching this review. Had never even given it a thought, which is weird as I took a stone to the visor yesterday. Slightly surprised that embedding the brake light in the indicator like that is even legal. Great review. Thank you, Chris.

Agree with your comments about BMW finish Baron. Compared to my 2015 RR the new RR has cheap plastic everywhere, is missing the alloy top yoke and polished swing arm, all black switchgear etc. Not to mention the leaking Hayes brakes, constant recalls and hearing about non-starting and breakdowns.

It's a bloody good road bike. Just tested it today. Such a fun bike on the twisties and on open dual carriageways. Quick shifter is so smooth. It's pretty raucous when you open the taps. I enjoyed it a lot!

Carnt belive you guys were at my local track Cadwell & then on the road heading to louth then doing the full lap we normally run on weekend rides.. louth up to Willy woods rasen & then on to wragby up to bardney & back to baumber caistor high street back to Willy woods absolutely bloody great roads my fav loop of road that it’s our local riding/raceing roads on a weekend 🤣👌👍 the s bends at bardney daires Megga corners 9.30mins. Hope you enjoyed the roads Chris 👍

Imagine putting an open radiator core on a car? My 1995 Daytona 1200 came with a rad guard, oil cooler guard and rear wheel hugger as standard, granted they were plastic but they did the job and 26 years later still do.

GoPros usually get choppy when the SD card can't keep up with the recording. Depending on your SD card age, it may be dying or have errors

The problem this bike has is that here BMW dealers also sell Triumph. And when you see the Speed Triple 1200 RS in the store you'll newer look at the Beemer again.

Your shutter speed needs to be double the amount of your frame rate, so if you are @ 30fps it needs to be 1/60th of a second or more, not less, but preferably exactly double. Its a film rule called the 180 rule. If it's 60fps its 1/120 shutter speed. Don't ISO over 1600, look around 400 for day light work or less. regards, here since early BVG days.

Genuine BMW rad guards are available, the same ones fit the S1000R, RR and XR, just pay a few bob and fit them, no big deal.
