Been watching many reviews, but this is one of the best! Very practical, informative information.

One of the better reviews. But you should also focus bit more on facts, real thoughts, usage feedback about the features than just rattling off the features list. BTW, the HK system has 16 speakers, not 10.

PLEASE beware of the current recall on this model due to battery pack “thermal event” issues. Search [BMW Hybrid Recall ] for info.

The main reason that someone would consider the PHEV instead of the regular X5 would be 1) The additional power from battery, 2) The range of EV and 3) fuel efficiency of hybrid. The rest of the information is the same as non-PHEV and really won't be considered by serious buyers ...and it seemed like you didn't address the above three items. I couldn't see the advantage of PHEV vs the regular X5

I would also add the ability to take longer less stress road trips over a BEV. If someone’s daily commute is within the EV range, they can stay relatively tailpipe free for 5/7 days of week
@overdrive_reviews3 жыл бұрын
Lol I addressed all of those things, not sure how you missed them...30 miles electric only, which is double its predecessor, and that there is a net combined horsepower of 389hp, with battery/gasoline engines combined. Thanks for watching though!

There is also the opportunity to do some climate good and to enter the ev market without being totally reliant on charging. Watch a video of charging issues on a trip. The main monolog is typically dedicated to finding a charging station, everything revolves around that and will continue until we have many more charging stations and less gas stations.

Some features you said that Aren’t available on the car such as the auto leg extenders is apart of the multi contour seats package. Their are a lot more options than what this car has.

Does the 2021 model have the comfort access where you just kick at the rear bottom of the boot and it opens?
@overdrive_reviews4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I believe all X5’s for 2021 come standard with comfort access/keyless entry! There was a lot I didn’t get to mention - thanks for watching!

Yes, unless you get the optional the trailer hitch

On 23 September, BMW decided to conduct a voluntary safety recall. According to the NHTSA report, there are some 4,509 recalled PHEVs in the US, including 2,441 X3 xDrive30e (2020-2021), 1,228 X5 xDrive 45e (2021), and 33 Mini Cooper Countryman All4 SE (2020-2021). BMW is currently working on a solution to the fault. Until a remedy is available, drivers will be instructed to not charge their vehicle, not to drive in manual or sport mode, and to not use the shift paddles.

I don't know why people don't like the Fineline Stripe Brown gloss trim (pictured in the car in this review). I saw it in real-life and really like it. I was going to with Brown Metallic Ash wood, which looks nice, but not quite as sporty as this Fineline Stripe Brown gloss.

The point is to use up the EV range in daily commuting by charging once a day. BEV will have longer electric range. But PHEV has more range overall and no range anxiety or hassle of finding chargers on longer road trips
