Wait a minute how come that keyfob looks different than mine? And why does the cargo cover retract automatically? I have a fully loaded 2021 X5 M Competition and don’t have those two features. Is this not a US version?

Yes it is a US Canada version. The retractable cargo cover is an option that you have to ask BMW to get it. Keyfob is also an option available to everyone.
