I got a new Bronco Sport - Outer Banks fully loaded every option for $43K. It's got tons of high tech features, seats are comfortable and the leather is very nice. I have the moon roof, which is hard to find anymore because of import shortages. Everything works very well and I haven't had even one problem. It also gets 34.5 mpg on the highway in Eco mode, which is 5 mpg more than what Ford advertises, so that's pretty cool. The 1.5L engine is small but it seems to be quite zippy in traffic and the turning radius is tight so manuevering in parking lots is easy. Overall, I like it a lot and have no regrets.

My daughter is looking at purchasing one. What's the difference between the Outer Banks and Big Bend?
@CarCoachReports3 жыл бұрын
Big Bend offers 17-inch gray-painted aluminum wheels wrapped in 255/75 all-terrain rubber, and up front you'll see a carbonized gray grille to match the wheels and LED fog lamps. Adding a little luxury to the cloth seats, you'll get a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shifter along with privacy glass. Like the base model, it's powered by the 2.3-liter engine, though the 2.7-liter EcoBoost is optional, as is the 10-speed auto. The Big Bend adds Race Red, Cactus Gray, and Area 51, a dark teal, to the base model's seven colors. ($34,480) Outer Banks is the luxury-oriented trim. It only gets six G.O.A.T. modes, but it has LED lighting, heated front-row bucket seats, and the Mid package, which adds features including dual-zone climate control, remote start, and Ford's Co-Pilot360 active-safety features. A 12.0-inch touchscreen is optional as part of the High package on the Outer Banks model and up. The Outer Banks will be recognizable by body-color door handles, mirrors, fender flares, and powder-coated tube steps, and it sits on 18-inch wheels wrapped in 255/70 all-terrain tires.($40,450)

I Love everything about these. My only reservation would be longevity as I keep cars for 200k miles or so and I’m afraid this would start giving me issues after the first 100k miles. Any thoughts? And that’s not a dig, I’m honestly curious because I don’t know what ford’s reputation is for long term dependability on these more modern cars, and I don’t want to assume they’re crap because of a brand reputation from 20 years ago.
@CarCoachReports3 жыл бұрын
Like any vehicle, doing basic maintenance will give you the longest life out of that vehicle. And that includes putting the car through a car wash or washing it once a week. If you take care of all the basic maintenance and I’m top of anything that breaks, it should easily last 200,000 miles. It’s hard to tell specifically which vehicles will in last like anything. Take care of what you have and it should last a long time. So far reliability on the Ford escape/bronco sport has been good but it’s too early to tell on the new bronco sport

I love the look and simplicity of the front panel. Only thing making me hesitate about buying this SUV is the claustrophobic back seat (for my kids’ sake) and the not so impressive mpg’s. I wish they made it with a tad roomier back seat and also offered it as a hybrid.
@timothywood49722 жыл бұрын
@Ok Street- I hear you about the rear seat leg room. However, 36.9 inches of leg room isn't too shabby. Unless you're a very tall person, back seat comfort and leg room should be just fine. I'm 5'8", so rear seat leg room would prove roomy for me. Though, again, I know what you're saying; if you are a tall person and love this SUV, that could be a deal breaker. Ford should have made the vehicle 176 inches in length, instead of 172 inches. Increased the wheelbase from 105.1 to 108.1, bringing rear seat leg room to almost 40 inches, and saving that last inch of vehicle length for the cargo. I'm thinking that 1" increased overall length may very well give the cargo area 1 extra cubic foot. Even though the cargo area scores great marks, why not another cubic foot of cargo area. If not, then we can add all 4 inches in rear seat leg room, thus, requiring all 4 inches of the car's overall increased length put into the second row leg room, bringing rear seat leg room to almost 41 inches.

Great video - thanks for posting this review. The Outer Banks is indeed a nice version of the Bronco Sport, as it appeals most to those who want luxury styling for the street.
