Easy choice for me: the Bulgari! Cool addition Tipp their line-up and I would consider it more wearable tja a Finissimo (personally). Bored of AquaTerras even as a WorldTimer. On a side note: That Biretro is such a stunner 👍🏻 I really admire your swift history bits.

Thanks! Glad you liked the video. The Octo's history in general is so rich despite being a (relatively) new model, but through the Genta years to the Bulgari Octos & the Velocissimos with Zenith movements and now the Finissimos, the Octo definitely deserves more attention as a collection. My favorite is the Bi-Retro though :D

😂 Loving those intros bro. Sorry, just realised you uploaded, good to see you back and great Choice. The Octo Worldtimer is for sure a killer. There is not a lot to dislike, Would be nice to try it out on the wrist, for sure a very interesting piece. Have a great week bro, keep up the good work and cheers from Germany.
@ShahLusso3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, can't wait to get one of these on the wrist, but if it fits anything like the regular Octo Roma then it's set to be a great option for lots of wrists, and love that they went all out Worldtimer instead of just a GMT :D

I own the Unitime, in silver dial with blue leather strap I love it. Of the three watches the Unitime is the only watch that shows which cities practice daylight saving. In my opinion that’s a true world timer and you get the B35 movement with 72hr power reserve.
@ShahLusso2 жыл бұрын
Fair point, the B35 is a great movement and the Unitime's crossed my mind more than once, might have to take a closer look at it for my next purchase :D

A handsome watch for sure. But I’m an Omega fan and the Aqua Terra is one of the most beautiful dials I have ever seen. I need to check it out in the flesh to make sure that it doesn’t wear too big but it’s on my mind for the future. Great comparison
@ShahLusso3 жыл бұрын
Yeah it is tough to beat the dial on the Aqua Terra, Omega really went all out when they did that - my biggest concern with the newer Omegas is some can wear pretty thick, but without a doubt its still a very good looking watch & lots of tech packed into it too.
@thetravelingnomad62032 жыл бұрын
I decided on the Omega, a mini Patek, more technical advanced and almost 1000 Euros cheaper. Breitling was never as strong candidate as Octo was. That italian design is so appealing to me but I felt as I could choose another octo such as Velocissimo as I happen to love chronographs even a little more than GMT or worldtime complications. And those are imho better priced.
@carsten51973 жыл бұрын
Nice comparison video. I have been considering a world timer and leaning towards the Aviator 8 over the Aqua Terra (Unaware of the Octo). Thanks to this video I may now reconsider. I have always loved the octo shape and now as a world timer, love it. Also, I love that Bulgari is starting to get some more attention, which I think it deserves. Unfortunately on the secondary market the Breitlings are quite the bargain. This will probably not be the case for the Bulgari.
@ShahLusso3 жыл бұрын
Very true, the pre-owned pricing on the Breiting is really hard to compete with. I'm not sure about how this will fare on the secondary market - previous Octo Romas don't hold their price much, but then the Finissimos tend to hold much better...so anyone's guess how well this does, a lot will depend on how well they market it to begin with. Which dial on the Aviator 8 have you been leaning towards? I can't choose which one I like more 🤣 if only they did a blue dial on that!

This is one of my favorite from the Geneva Watch Days. Same as you, I've also found the Octo Finissimo doesn't look right on my wrist. Not sure this one works or no, but in my opinion it looks no less stunning than the OF.
@ShahLusso3 жыл бұрын
Definitely worth trying out if the OF doesn't look right on your wrist, something about the Roma just looks more proportionate IMO - though they're both stunning :D

The Octo Roma world time is top shelf. I would have deleted the display back (particularly on the black version) to make it a very very pure tool. It is also priced very well and will likely be available around $7500 on the grey market. I don't usually like black watches, but this one is tough to beat.
@ShahLusso3 жыл бұрын
💯 it's a great lookign watch, and true a solid back would make it a bit toolier, a bit slimmer and tbh while its an in-house movement its not much to look at so they woudn't be hiding a masterpiece. I'm also not the biggest fan of blackout watches but with the textured strap it all just works for that tooly/tactical look
@tendrams3 жыл бұрын
@@ShahLusso Agreed. Putting a display back on a pretty utilitarian movement always bothers me. In that way Rolex has always gotten it right in the way that they put a display back on absolutely nothing! LOL!

I think the Octo Roma is spectacular. I actually went to an AD to check it out yesterday, but they don’t carry Bulgari anymore (new stand alone Bulgari boutique now sells them instead) Really like the Omega, but the Octo is more my style - the case, the handset. Again, beyond cool. Would love to see the Roma line include no date watches. Don’t understand why limited editions aren’t no date versions or the converse if the watch is originally no date. Of course, a lot easier to pull this off at lower price points where they are using stock (but still excellent) Eta or Selita movements.
@ShahLusso3 жыл бұрын
I agree, the Octo Roma really is a great looking watch, and while 8-9 times out of 10 I'd probably pick an Omega compared to anything (not biased at all 😂) this really is something truly special. I wouldn't be surprised if a no-date Roma comes around soon if there's enough demand for it. The Finissimo has gotten people used to this shape without a dat,e and they started putting in their in-house movement in the 3-hander Romas so modifying it to exclude the date wheel woulnd't be prohibitve, I guess its just a case of the market asking for it, but it'd definitely suit the nice clean elegant look of the Roma and leave more attention to focus on all the different facets of the case.
@jeremyrice37193 жыл бұрын
@@ShahLusso agree with you that a no date Roma would look clean. We all have favorite brands. Bulgari is one of mine so I’d really love to own one. Of my four favorite brands Have three watches by two will get, ironically, the most affordable one before long - a CW.
@ShahLusso3 жыл бұрын
Literally watching a video with one of the owners of CW as I read your comment. Which one are you thinking of getting? I do quite like their C65 GMTs, and the C1 Moonglow looks amazing too
@jeremyrice37193 жыл бұрын
@@ShahLusso My next watch will likely be the Super Compressor with the teal, orange, and the bracelet. Also love the C65 chronograph and the new C60 Tide and that Moonglow too. I don’t do GMT’s - world timers are more my thing. Which, as usual, puts my in the minority among watch enthusiasts.
@nhilal943 жыл бұрын
The watch is amazing but too bad the bracelet model isn't like the Octo Finissimo, where the clasp just hides in the bracelet links. Anyways, I'm really digging the black model and thinking of getting it. Such a sexy watch!
@ShahLusso3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, with the Finissimo they really take every opportunity to make all of it that little bit thinner in every dimension. The black one definitely looks badass, admittedly I'm not that into blackout watches but I still like how it turned out & the pairing with the textile strap looks really good.
@nhilal943 жыл бұрын
@@ShahLusso Yes I totally agree with you on the textile strap. And for some weird reason I'm getting the stealth wealth vibe from the black model. 😅

Honestly it looks a little busy from the photos, I'll reserve my judgement till I see it in person! I do think if they release a 38mm version of the Roma I might even consider taking a loan to get it 😂. - Han
@ShahLusso3 жыл бұрын
True, though then again most worldtimers look pretty busy. 38mm Roma would be interesting, especially if they went for a no-date model to keep the dial nice & clean

As a happy owner of the Aquaterra, I might be biased, but it's my favorite of the three, a bit more subtle and sporty, especially on the factory rubber or any other strap really. The original bracelet is just...not good. Blingy, scratchy and without micro adjust.
@ShahLusso3 жыл бұрын
I've got to say the Aqua Terrar rubber strap really is great - I'd like to get one for my Seamaster, but first need to test if it fits. I do have to say the dial detail on the Aquaterra is amazing with how they laser etched the world on it!
