Best, most thorough review I've seen of this new Escalade. Well done, and thanks. I do have a question regarding the performance of the new 3 liter turbo diesel option: You gave some good info on it, but how do you think it will perform with so heavy a vehicle in various driving circumstances especially when not towing, the one that most concerns me is if going at highway speeds up hills out west in ski country, will it still be able to achieve top speeds, say 70 mph or 80 or 90 mph, and if going say 70 or 80mph, will it still be able to accelerate to pass another vehicle? Towing and not towing? (I love the much greater gas mpg and driving range per tank of the diesel, but am trying to figure out where the tradeoffs if any may be with its lower 277 horsepower, though with that high torque kicking in at lower rpm's and that great 10 speed transmission maybe maybe there aren't any tradeoffs, just thought I'd ask). Thanks.

Glad to see General Motors is finally letting Cadillac be Cadillac. The new Escalade is a huge step up from the outgoing model. Also at 26:25, the new Escalade’s max cargo volume behind the first row is 121 cubic feet, actually. Cargo volume behind the 2nd row is 72.9 cubic feet. I’m a little surprised how many reviewers are getting the Escalade’s max cargo volume figures incorrect.

I went off of the numbers published by Cadillac, I was surprised too since it should have been similar to the Tahoe I reviewed recently. They listed the aforementioned numbers in their press release so that's probably why you're seeing that.

The new rear suspension system is very near to the ground! , I am thinking what will happen if you got a flat tyre on high speeds I think it will almost touch the ground specially with the tahoes and yukons those come with 18" rims

A Lexus depreciates too, just not as much. Part of the problem is that GM produces these by the thousands. They're everywhere. As long as people keep buying these, GM will keep making and selling them. Just wait til gasoline hits four dollars a gallon or higher and watch people unload these as if they were black and white TV's.
