I have a 22 Camaro SS 1LE and it's overrun is just as crazy, if not even crazier. It's so much fun, so much. You guys need a Camaro SS 1LE to review. Though it's not the time of year to review one, but you will see it is the best sports car, best track car for the money, period. You seem to have forgotten the popularity of the Hellcat, which has the same performance profile as this thing - it's fast in a straight line. BUT this Escalade can haul 7 people COMFORTABLY while towing a camper or boat and then have a FUN time (fast) at the destination. This vehicle seems like it would fit perfectly next to anyone who even considered buying the Hellcat.

So did they address the motor mounts? I have had 2 Escalades and the GM 6.2L motor has a history of breaking motor mounts like candy. If they have put that much more power into the vehicle, I can only imagine how fast it's going to break the mounts. I had my mounts replaced on my last Escalade and it cost right around 3K from the dealership, because they recommend you change all 3. AWESOME VEHICLE and this might be my 3rd.

I've driven both the 2022 & 2023 Escalades for extended distances & have been a passenger in all areas of them - they are by far my favorite large SUV. I've driven the CT5 Blackwing as well (manual) and it's in my top 5 all time favorite cars I've driven (blows the Hellcats away BY FAR!!). I'm super excited to drive this & I love they built this. I hear the 392 Durango's all the time and they are louder than this Escalade V - but the Durango's are BEYOND obnoxiously loud to the point where it doesn't even sound good - at least those that harass our local town....

I have a 5 Blackwing and have had 3 other V cars. My DD is a GM full-size SUV and I’m happy they produced this. Price is a bit much, but my name is on a list for one as I expect this will be first and last. I like having a full size SUV for hauling bikes, car parts, and our trailer, but have always wanted more power for passing and towing. To date my favorite GM SUVs are the police Tahoes, they have all the cabinetry, but handle far better than they should. I hope the handling on these is similar.

In my mind’s eye I can just see this thing barreling through LA traffic, weaving back and forth tailgating and cutting off anyone in its way. Seems the whole point is to intimidate sane drivers with its size, noise and straight line performance on the freeway. God bless the accelerated depreciation that Congress and States(with income taxes) pass each time there is an economic emergency like Covid or 9/11 By being a large vehicle they can qualify as a commercial vehicle. 1st owners are sold/leased mainly to self employed people who can fully depreciate them. So the payments and the fuel costs will be offset by savings on taxes owed. Plus if their income is high enough they can get extra vehicles for their spouse, kids, parents, mistresses, etc for nothing (or will result in money generated) .

I was sitting my car the other, a Lexus RX330, so not too low to the ground but not high seating either. A new Escalade pulled in next as I was looking over my shoulder to back out. I about freaked out because it was like a damn train was about to hit my car. My wife was laughing at the audacity of a street legal train. His hood was nearly over the roof of my RX330. He was parking in the handicap spot and in all honesty, I feel if you can not only drive something like that and get in and out, you are not handicapped.

Instead of asking "why did they do this?" I simply ask why not? You have the unique opportunity to drive a vehicle that for many will be out of reach either from a financial standpoint or just avability alone. I believe that if someone has the funds to afford this absolutely gorgeous and powerful beast they should buy it and enjoy the hell out of it. It may not compete directly with unibody performance SUVs like a Porsche in measured test but I don't think it's about that and I would be willing to bet the seat of the pants experience in the Cadillac would be more entertaining. I think it's about having all the capability and luxury of a premium suv with a ridiculous amount of added power, performance, exhaust soundtrack, perfectly tuned transmission shifts, brakes that could stop a building,etc. Is it excess? Maybe, but why not.

Super Cruise was NOT available for the first batch of these being made. Every one built after October 2 will be coming with Super Cruise. All supplies went into the Lyriq launch in May. That's why I waited until that restriction was lifted especially at its price point. The only thing 100% discontinued for the remaining 23 models is the adaptive headlamp system. I was able to secure an order for one at msrp and with my trade in on an older model Escalade that I was offered, I said fuck it let's do it. If I couldn't land one at msrp, no way would I be buying this. Mark ups I got through roughly 10 dealerships ranged from 60-100k. The ones selling at msrp, their lists are massive and one of the biggest dealerships in my area said at least a 4 year wait(130+ waitlist). Every single reviewer I've seen cover this car, when driving have a huge smile on their faces. This is my obnoxious send off to ICE. I'll be getting 7 mpg the way I'll be driving mine probably but fuck it, life is short, enjoy it while you can.
