Have a 2020 RST same colour, xtended cab and 3.0 Duramax. Only regrets; I have the 18" wheels should have taken the 20" and the crew cab. Duramax is awesome with fuel mileage and power. I'm surprise about the harsher ride you talk about, I have the Z71 suspension and I find this truck very quiet and comfortable. Anyway, my 2 cents.

@@angelf9800 Well it depends on what you exactly want really. Are you looking for an offroad version, a base model, or perhaps sporty variant? If it's an offroad version, it's pretty self-explanatory, you should be looking at an AT4, Z71, or TrailBoss. If its a luxury version, I'd either be looking at a RAM, possibly Ford or waiting till the GM trucks get their refresh. This Silverado RST basically is an upgraded appearance trim to make the truck look a little more sporty. The GMC AT4 is the offroad version of the Sierra, which would be the equivalent to the Z71 package from Chevy, or maybe even the Trailboss. Personally, exterior styling wise I prefer the Silverado looks a lot more. However, they're both from GM, so there really isn't much difference between the 2.

Curious about where you heard that. My 2020 5.3 is rated at 9,300lbs. Max tow package pushes the 5.3 even higher with 3.43 gears.

I made my first purchase based off of him, bought a new 2020 Ram 1500 Bighorn (off-road package, 3.92 gears and just the hemi engine). Thing is, i’m still in HS, but she’s a beast. Only downside is the gas mileage, not a fan of putting in $60/week

How do u like that 6.2? I’m gonna buy a truck next year and I’m super on the fence ab which engine. The 5.3 is tried and true and in all reality all I’ll ever NEED. But I cannot help but want that 6.2 so bad. Is it worth it?

@@icu_corey_rn_903 your in the same boat I was in 2018. I wanted the 6.2 but just couldn't find one. I bought a 2018 Silverado LTZ Redline with the 5.3. it was a great truck and I had zero issues with it. The 5.3 is a great engine but in the back of my mind I really wanted the 6.2. I finally got the chance when a 2020 Trail Boss LT came into my local dealer and they were and still are hard to find. I love the 6.2, it's a world of difference from the 5.3. of course the 10 speed helps also.

@@Loveall247 Sure do. Gas prices are always fluctuating. I knew that when I bought it. Gas mileage between the 5.3 I had and the 6.2 I have now are so close that it makes zero difference to me.

I would certainly give up some "power for reliability", but haven't there been problems with direct injection and cylinder deactivation (carbon coated valves, snapped lifters, etc.)? Did they figure out the horrendous transmission issues? Has the new ATF fluid stopped the slamming and water accumulation? Also heard of brand new models draining batteries for reasons dealers can't figure out. Honestly, I'd love to buy GM. Just don't want to play Russian Roulette with $50grand.

Personally when i bought my Silverado i denied four other Silverado’s based purely on the fact that they all had over 100 miles on them... i Dont think people want to buy a truck that twenty people have test driven! Stop driving trucks that you are selling! Have a designated test vehicle from each model! 1500 2500 ect

It breaks down 5 months after I got it brand new.Ever time I took to the dealership I'll get it and it break again and again. I have over 100 thousand miles and it away read low oil add oil and they don't know why.they just say don't worry I have oil in the truck.
