The dealer just told me that you need to remove the front bumper on a 21 Trek to remove the grille. Are they trying pull one on me??

Can you explain what string you used and how you secured it to the hood to get those clean lines when you used it to cut the vinyl. I have never this before.

For sure! It's actually tape. The specific tape I used is from 3M and I believe the name is Design Line Knifeless Tape. When you lay down the lines with the knifeless tape you want to leave yourself a few inches extra that are hanging off the car. Then you want to pull the string through the middle of the tape. The green tape should stay out on the car and the string will cut the vinyl. Good luck with your project!

@@twelvedads3099 Take your time and be gentle. When you heat the emblem to loosen the tape on the back side don't go too hot or it could damage the paint. Use some fishing line, floss, or a thin string to cut the tape from behind the emblem.

My arm did get all scratched up, just make sure you press each tab and work your way around. Takes a bit of convincing, but it'll pop out.
