Not a fan of the rifle being behind the seat. Been plenty of times on patrol where were responding with a rifle needed and i needed to pop it out while driving.

I wonder how it would be to have a charger as a daily driver patrol car. I know they fast etc but on a comfort and durability longevity point of view.

Very comfortable with plenty of leg room, but reliability is garbage. After 80k they are constantly in the shop, and absolute junk by 120k. My department stopped buying them because of this. Now we buy Explorers and F150s for patrol, and Tahoes for admin.

@@stadce that’s odd, we retire our Chargers at 150k and they have little to no issues, besides the front end suspension needing some work around 120k

@@M305-e1g We bought 30 of the 2011-2014 5.7L V8 chargers. All of them had issues with power steering pumps and front end bushings. Several had to have major engine work before 100k, and many had electrical issues. By far the worst patrol vehicles we have ever had. Most of them were retired by 120k due to maintenance cost. Given, we did have one 2015 V8 AWD as a insurance replacement vehicle and it seemed to do a lot better.

@@stadce I bet old chargers were. I’m at 130k noooo problems. Runs great none of issues you experienced smooth quietly with stealth prowl of a Hemi. I love ❤️ it😎

What’s up with the Axon cam mounted on the partition?
@GuardianFleetSafety3 жыл бұрын
That's the control box for the backseat AXON camera. Looks a lot like a body cam but it's not.

I never really thought of half petitions as that practical
@TyeWills3 жыл бұрын
They are almost mandatory if your 6’3 or taller. I had one in crown vics and a 2016 Changer. And you get the seat right behind the driver to keep equipment and coats and stuff.

I would much rather have a half partition. Gives more space for my gear, more leg room, and you can always call another car for multiple arrest.

Good looking car. But all that money and they couldn’t spend a few hundred more for window tint. Maybe not as big as deal in South Dakota but down here it’s much needed for comfort.
@FLAWDAJAY20033 жыл бұрын
They probably only do the outfitting of the equipment. Sure they will take it to a tint shop after here.
