I remember as a kid when John Davis reviewed the 1997 Grand prix GTP with it's supercharged engine making 240hp and 280 torques. I thought that car was amazing at the time. Here we are 24 years later with a Charger that makes nearly 800hp and 700 torques. Unlike 24 years ago, this car is the end of an era. These high hp v8s in our cars and trucks right now won't be around much longer. EVs will take over, and one day it will be a distant memory when high HP v8s roamed the streets. EVs will never be able to replace the sound and excitement that a gasoline engine with a supercharger can produce.

As an owner of a 2016 Dodge Challenger Hellcat 6-speed manual, I absolutely love the car. I don't care that it's "too heavy". When you are behind the wheel driving it, all you feel is torque and too much power for the street and a worry you will spin the tires at any time with little to no effort. Just something about knowing what the car can do without doing it often on the streets is just so satisfying to know. I usually just enjoy the car on cruises. It's my weekend car, but unfortunately has been garage kept for about a year now because other personal issues in life happened. But I start it up ever so often and glorious to listen to cold starts😀😎

Well one was built for the strip, and the other was built to rip up the road. One is a 4 door with full luxury/sport interior, the other has a stripped interior. That means a nearly 500 lb weight difference. And the difference isn’t that much, depending on the driver, they are pretty much equal. I have seen 1/4 Mike times for the Charger lower than what AW got, being low to mid 11’s. Most powerful and fastest mass produced sedan in the world? Tesla Model S Plaid would like to have a word with you.
@bigj42953 жыл бұрын
You would not need the model S plaid the model S long range runs 10:60s. The model 3 will run 11:60s.

@ubeuonly 1 That golf cart will destroy any gasoline engine production car in the world, including supercars and hypercars. Then it will pick up the kids from school and haul groceries. Electric motors are far more efficient than internal combustion engines. I was raised on muscle cars and love them, but electric cars are very good now and getting better. Besides, I’m over loud exhausts.

The marketing team first decided on the “Brown Eye” because this car would leave some serious skid marks. But they soon learned about the scatalogical implications. Next they tried the “Pink Eye” because this car would really put up a stink. But they soon realized the insensitivity to the medical condition. Then they settled on “Red Eye” but unfortunately haven’t yet encountered the meme Goatse.

It's on their track with their pilot. If you take a real prepped strip, the power will be better used. With that run they probably had the tires tracing up to the finish...

Dodge is closing out the end of an era. The ICE ENGINE will be out of production before we know it. That will be a sad day. But until that day comes, Dodge is going to make sure that we have fun till the end!
