Just installed my tune from u guys for my pb, definitely impressed with the power gains. Only been about 500mi or so, definitely shifting a little funky (sorta like when I first bought it). I know it was detailed in the instructions this may occur so hoping it will smooth out a bit. Although he spoke way faster than I could absorb the tech support was helpful. Had the feeling he’s recited it many times and wanted to get me off the phone ASAP haha. Only gripe it would be nice to detail what all was actually tweaked in the process other than the 3 available tunes I was given. At least to a degree anyway I understand some info needs to be kept close. Also like to know if the 91/93 tune I received is self adjusting as to what I choose to run in it? Or is the straight 93 tune more potent? Either way I’m liking the extra power a lot and am happy with it. Hoping as updates trickle out they will made known to customers and be included with original purchase. Thanks guys!

@@RealCrispCreations E-Boost allows the battery only mode to stay engaged more readily. Stock, they kick out of electric only with the slightest amount of pedal input, this revises and improves that to be more inline with what our customers would want from the electric only mode.

Can you provide any details on how the tuner is engaging the electric motor and using the battery? Any efficiency tunes that you could provide insight on, so to allow for longer engagement of the electric motor and using more % of the battery capacity? for now, this addresses engine side only, nothing on the motor side of things. We will be working on other aspects over time, but for now, all of the eclectic side is the same as production.

The stock vehicle allows for selectable Sport/Eco/Normal/Mud/Sand/Towing modes; can custom tunes be applied to individual "Modes", so that the driver can select between them on the fly? I'd be fine with a limit to 93 fuel, but my use of this truck varies between "Pulling stuff" and "driving long distances alone", so it would be virtually impossible to have one tune that spanned all of that well. Thanks for all of the work, and I'm excited to see what you guys come up with.

The only changes those modes have on performance, is throttle response and transmission shift scheduling. Our tuning retains the modes, but neither stock, nor tuning, changes items beyond those two items.

The only gear my 21 may skip now is 2nd gear into 3rd. The 2018 I had used to skip gears constantly. Ford did much better with the updates on the 21+

There are some instances where it will still skip 7-9, but we agree. It's less of an issue than the 17-20 trucks.

These auto adjust for octane, but all 21+ f150s recommend 91+ even stock. They lose big power in 89 and lower.

We have introduced many improvements to this offering, and have even add options like our enhanced electric only mode, E-Boost tuning. We have had customers report as much as 5mpg over stock, but we don't officially market it as any gains in the MPG area.

I have the same truck, only 60k miles….the transmission is sick between gears 7:10 and jerks shifting in and out when on highway…would doing a tune like this stop all that? Ford dealership is turning a blind eye unless it fails 100%. Thank you

We definitely improve all aspects of shifting, but if there's an actual, mechanical issue, a tune won't address that.

@@LivernoisMotorsports They said no mechanical, just all in how it’s geared. When I explained the hard shifting and transmission acting like it was confused with the lagging. At highway speeds and you step on it it’ll jerk to downshift, then when lifting off the accelerator for a cruising speed as it shifts into higher gears it will lag out and drop 2:3mph then it decides the mph desired and will hold after jumping in and out of 7:10 gears. A $1:2k cool air intake with a tune job is way cheaper to potentially fix versus it sitting in the Ford shop for 3 months and renting a machine.

We have more 5.0 Videos than just about all the rest combined, race, dyno, street driving, E85 dyno, and more. With that said, hit up the facebook groups and forums, as there are a lot of our customers posting their dragy and track times, as well as doing reviews and videos too. As for shifting at 7500, these fail hard parts (oil pump, and valvetrain) at that RPM, so you'd need to sign a waiver that you know it's going to potentially break, and we can do it. but these are not the same coyote engine you are used to.

I've got a 2013 3.5 F150 4x4 with Livernois 87 performance, 87-93 mileage, and 93 performance tunes. Lifetime average (hand calculated) was about 16 mpg up to 70k miles, got it tuned, now the lifetime average at 110k is up to 17 mpg. Before the tune my highway trips yielded 20-23mpg while post tune trips get 21-26mpg similar conditions. Didn't exclusively get the tune for the mileage, but it definitely is a perk still having the option to get higher gas mileage on a performance tune! Overall, the tune seemed to unlock more MPG if you were easy on the throttle. I'd venture a guess that the Powerboost tune would be similar: Better city mileage and better mileage when you're trying for it

Technically by the written letter of the law, any modifications, including tuning, could void your warranty. However, we have had customers report great success by being open and honest about modifications with their dealerships.

The electric motor is far more robust than what the engine can produce, so in short, no.

The various modes don't impact wide open throttle power or performance (other than shift points), we keep all the modes with our tuning, but any of those modes would make the same power on a Dyno.

This is caused by the electric drive unit, which we don't adjust currently. It is, however, something we plan on addressing in future releases.

I’ve seen mine slowly go down. Before tune getting around 21-22, now down to about 19. This in the corse of about 2K miles. Running the 91-93 tune, Livernois intercooler, AFE momentum gt intake. Still waiting for harsh shifts to soften up a bit as I was told they would but no improvement there.

I'm guessing you must not be familiar with us, or the 3.5 Ecoboost engines at all to make this comment. We were the originators of tuning the 3.5 Ecoboost starting back in 2009. Fast forward 13 years and the number of of these engines we've tuned exceeds 20,000. In all these years, the number of our "tune only" customers to break an engine remains at single digit numbers. Or, less than Ford themselves sees in 20k vehicles. These can easily handle another 75-100hp before they start to get in the "user beware" range.

@@jonjohn1321 traffic sucks but it's my favorite since it's mostly ev. I'd say doing 75mph I'm getting around 20 to 21. City when I'm taking it easy, 25 to 26 mpg

Cam package on my c6 z06 was over $3000 installed/tuned to add about 100 hp. I think its pretty cool you can get 100 hp for $800 through tuning
