I agree! I’m 52 and I love this car!! Super comfortable and I’m a bigger guy. If you notice the armrest in the door is “perfectly” placed for us wider folks. Absolutely LOVE this car

I'm 63, and I've had my '18 SES for a couple of years now. It's no rocket, but power is adequate for interstate highway speeds and it's actually punchy around town. Mine has the winter package, and it's super comfy for that sort of driving. I got it as a winter car, and to keep some miles and salt off my modified Fiesta ST. When I want fast, I take the ST. I like the Ecosport BECAUSE it's small. Everyone who's been in it (or driven it) likes it. It's great for dirt roads and snow. You can find videos here with people driving them in off-road conditions, deep snow, and even on autocross tracks. It handles very well for such a tall car, better than any other CUV I've driven. It's actually fun to drive on twisty roads. It feels planted and darty, and the AWD just makes it better. That said, I can't recommend the 1.0 FWD version. Those engines blow up due to design flaws. Get the 4WD version only. The 2.0 is solid. A word of advice if you want to keep it long term: Get the transmission, PTU and differential fluids changed every 30,000 miles. Change the engine oil with good full synthetic every 5,000. Ignore what Ford recommends, and It will last a long time. I've done some minor mods to mine. US comment - I bought one in 2019. Apparently, they don't think people want cars any more. My Focus got a hell of a lot better mileage. It has been a comfortable car.

That's because the Focus has a different transmission which is more fuel efficient, but much mess reliable.

Others had problems with the transmission, but I don't think a lot of people realized that it was like a manual transmission shifted by a computer. Once I understood what it was doing, I was OK with it. I used to drive manuals.

Driving a 2018 with the 2.0 and awd. Its been a beautiful vehicle so far.superior traction in the snow.I just came back from a long drive,and there were times during that drive i allowed the vehicle to creep up to 160km and even going that fast the ride was poised and quiet.I love my ecosport and will not be selling it for a different car probably ever.

@@superbert35 I owned a Focus before. After six major transmission component failures, I will never buy another Ford. By the last few weeks of ownership, the car felt like it would shake itself to pieces when the transmission would shift. Ford Canada never replaced the entire transmission.

I have a 2018 EcoSport an so far I like it. It's fun to drive an the 4 wheel drive makes it easy to get around in the snow. I had a 2014 Escape that I like with the turbo charged 2.0 in it an 4 wheel drive. It was quicker that my EcoSport with the 2.0 non turbo. I don't know why Ford couldn't have put the turbo 2.0 on the EcoSport which would have made it a bottle rocket. Another thing Ford screwed up is they didn't have many upgrades to fix it into a more capable off road machine. I wanted to put a more aggressive tire on it to make it look alittle more agressive ( not talking something like 31.10 X50s ). FORD just couldn't bring theirself to bring over some of the things you could get over in India to dress it up. But other than the lack of turbo an accessorys I like mine just fine. Ford going all electric is BS.

Love my 2021 ecosport se. 1.0 has plenty of power. Back seat is a little tight. However it's a compact suv. No spare tho. Also that's why the rear door opens the way it does. The rear spare is on the rear door in other countries.

Not likely. Probably too costly to export from Eastern Europe. The EcoSport is built in India and Ford likely pays its Indian employees a fraction of what it pays its Romanian employees to build the Puma.

Ford has some appealing SUVs in their portfolio. The EcoSport isn't one of them. Originally designed for 3rd world markets where it finds some commercial applications in crowded urban environments, it's simply a placeholder in the burgeoning subcompact SUV category. May work for Ford loyalists and fleet sales but simply not competitive otherwise.

I own this vehicle. It’s really small so tall people this would be a pass for you. Also, no room for gadgets. Little leg room in the back. Rear facing car seats fit pretty snug on the passenger & won’t fit on the driver side. Did I mention very little room in the back seat? Essentially none.

If one is driving an Abrams tank one would calculate gallons of jet fuel to the mile..... My neighbor has an Ecosport and gets better mileage than the window sticker said. He's averaging a little over 37 miles to the gallon.

@@LuisRodriguez-gt2ef the fuel injector sprays a fine mist wen cruising. Wen accelerating it squirts like a squirt gun. Cars, trucks, tanks use the most fuel wen starting off from a full stop. A hybrid vehicle has an electric motor to assist the internal combustion engine. So they don't need as much fuel to get moving. I think it's more cost effective to just get a lighter car. Any how, one gets better mileage on the highway because your cruising at steady speed rather than stop and go. So go easy on the accelerator and cruise as much as possible. You will save fuel. Drive smooth it's better for the car. Drive like an old man.
