Pro tip: unscrew filter just enough for it to drip oil so it catches in that lower portion of the tray so it drains out the back hole only. Less mess.

Thank you for making this tutorial. I'm about to get everything so i can do my own oil changes also. Dealership is booked 2 weeks out 😳 Can you please tell me if the same size filter would work for mine? ...It's a '21 Black Widow F-150 4x4. Sorry, but i don't know what size engine it has. 🤦‍♀️

Thank the lord ford is using metal oil pans on the coyote again, the 3rd gen coyote plastic one was awful and extremely cheap looking

Any oil consumption problems? What kind of change interval are you using?

I did have some consumption after about 6000 miles. About 1/2 qt. Ill change every 6k miles. I also purchased a catch can. Stay tuned for the installation video coming soon👍🏻

@@HighRidgeHandyman Did you have the updates done to it? I think its something to do with replacing the dipstick with a different length one, and a software update to keep the throttlebody blade in a different position as to not create vacuum on the system. I'm in an Ecoboost truck right now just trying to decide if I want to give up 90 lb/ft of torque, LOL.

Have to use this particular oil and save receipts while it’s still under the factory warranty. If you use a different type it voids the warranty. So with only 12,000 miles to date I’ll use it until the 5 years runs out💪🏻

All the 3rd gens had that plastic oil pan with the plastic cap sadly, there are conversion kits allegedly so you can put the 2nd gen metal pan on a 3rd gen , when i saw the 4th gen coyote went back to metal drain pans all i though was thank the lord
