2021 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500: Start Up, Exhaust, Test Drive, POV and Review

👋 The ALL NEW 2021 Shelby GT500 Ford Mustang is a BEAST!!
Today I drive and review the new 2021 Shelby GT500 Ford Mustang!! This car is so fast and sounds amazing!! The exterior design is extremely bold looking from the front with an aggressive bumper and sharp body lines. I love seeing all the functional aspects to the design. Air inlet for the air intake, two openings for the brake cooling ducts, and openings for all the radiators.
The Twister Orange on the 2021 Shelby GT500 is the perfect color and I like all the black accents. The quad tip dual exhaust sounds awesome during some revs and accelerations!!
The interior had the optional Bang and Olufson audio system and Recaro seats. The black leather looked super nice with the grey stitching and accents. And I love the use of black alcantara!
The new GT500 only has a Tremec 7 speed dual clutch transmission and you can see the Ford rotary dial shifter in the center. The DCT in the 2021 GT500 drove so smooth and delivered the power with precision. I really enjoyed the responsiveness to the paddles and it complemented the supercharged V8 very well!
Driving the new Shelby GT500 was a blast! You feel very connected to the road and even the handling was on point! The steering was precise and it really made the new GT500 feel like a proper sportscar with amazing handing abilities. The accelerations were awesome from the supercharged V8 and it sounded sick!🏎

That’s a tough one. GT500 is much more powerful and practical. But the C8 handles better and looks awesome! Personally I’d go for a Z06 Convertible

I never really noticed, and i never heard ford or anyone mention they where going for this look, but if you look head on with the mustang at 2:12 you can see the front resembles a snake, i do realize its a cobra, but they have been using cobra since the 60’s, and if its the case i never knew thats the look they where going for, i just realized it. 180mph top speed is kinda underwhelming with a supercharged 760hp v8. Debating between this and a redeye challenger.

How often are you really using the top speed of any car to be honest! This is a quick car regardless of top speed.

@Bros FOURR Speed Fair point, but from a pure performance pov, an engine with that much horsepower should be able to exceed 180mph. I understand ford put a speed limiter on the newer Shelby models for safety concerns. They even have 220mph on the dash. Still a great car nonetheless 👌.

Fair enough, The convertible is usually heavier so that's why this one isn't offered with that, very performance oriented. But the super snake is a great option too!

It's not uncommon for a sportscar like this to have manual seats, makes it "lighter" lol, but it would be nice to see power seats for the money.

If you were able to drive a dealership car, you’d respect it like I did as well. I’m not about doing launches and driving it like I stole it. It’s not my car so I will respect it and do what I think will get the point across of how powerful it is. If you are looking for driving like that, find some videos of owners doing that. If I owned the vehicle I could show burnouts or launches, but I don’t so I can’t.

It’s still a Mustang, but the Shelby cobra. I wouldn’t say it’s a brick at all, this is very performance oriented, have you driven one?
