Why has no one talked about Jake Haener? why has no mentioned him at all during the preseason?!??!! no one knows?!?!?! nobody!?!?!?!?! just so everyone knows when you guys come back here 5 months from now and everyone is talking about this dude and hes the #1 pick in the draft. i was here first. i figured out before all of you guys and i'm losing my mind on this day that none of you know what an insane special talent this is, at the time of this post over 233 of you saw this video, and in the comments below, almost every single one of you said NOTHING. i'm furiously angry that i didn't know, and that i assumed uconn got blown out just cause their uconn and not because the most dynamic player that i've seen since johnny manziel is hiding and quietly dominating the mountain east right under my nose including last season and none of you said anything, not PFF, Not PFT, Not the draft network, not ANY of Charlie Campbells team sources, not kiper, not mcshay, not broshimo, not bleacher report, no one. i'm the only person in the world, besides fresno coaches and trent dilfer at this moment who fully understands exactly who this man is and who hes about to be, and i'm clearly aware, few of you can even imagine it and thats awesome but also really lonely and quite annoying all the same time. But i've ranted all of that simply to say. Welcome to the party. Welcome to the jake haener show, probably atlanta falcons or houston texans fans with the first overall pick a few months from now, boy are you lucky in this weird year, you get to take this guy. enjoy yourselves. :D

Weird arm mechanics, lackluster arm strength with meh accuracy At best he's a Taylor Heinicke. Feel free to come back to this on draft day.

@@cityththedragon7568 The hard thing is i could probably go on and on for hours about why you're wrong, and i could actually rant so bad right now about everything you just said, i will simply in response to your comment say, What you call weird arm mechanics, i call arm talent, and changing arm angles, and he does so with no hitches, disproving your arm strength claim, though if you need him to hitch step i've seen him do it, and use to it extend plays unlike most spread QB's ive seen. the take on accuracy depends on what you consider accurate, i know he has some issues with touch particularly in this game, but i feel like you can live with that if you have a playmaker. my take on him is, i'm not sure he has AS much arm talent as rattler, BUT his ball placement is on fleek, hes good with ball placement, and making dissociative throws off platform. to the point that both those traits come very 2nd nature to him at this stage. he's truly gifted in those areas. I like his pocket mobility, his ability to make conflict throws, and i kind of think hes a better athlete than rattler and at the very least more dynamic and dangerous when he breaks the pocket extending plays. i do like other guys in this draft as well. its just this Jake Haener thing is quite new to me, just getting to see him this week and i'm absolutely blown away by what ive seen. Maybe some Evaluators are weirded out by the mechanics and the size questions but i'll lose my mind and i wont understand if buzz on him doesn't pick up quickly. One thing i wanted to definitely say as well is i'm not sure being Taylor Hienicke is a bad thing at all. even though i see other guys with him. I agree tho, i hope we will be back here, come draft time.

​@@hash2657 i'm in love, Hash. i just hope you're a believer too. i'm learning more about him every single week. The last two weeks i learned he's tough. Yeah he's got inconsistent anticipation at times and hes small. He's small for a short dude at this point, he's like colt brennan small god rest his soul. He's gotta get bigger i get that. but more importantly he's tough. i'm so convinced he is what i think he is. Going back to last year. he shows up every single week and does unreal stuff with the ball in his hands. i'm sold.
