해외에서는 제네시스를 사기 꺼려지는게, 한국과 다르게 해외에서는 제네시스 사면 1-2년안에 새차값에 반토막은 감수하고 사야해서... 중고거래도 힘들고 찾는 사람도 잘 없고. 한국국내에서와는 완전 반대죠. 한국에서 푸죠차를 사는정도? 그런 느낌. 차 자체가 좋고 나쁨을 떠나서 구매하려면 중고값은 못받는다 생각하고 산다 이런 각오를 해야 살수있는. 저는 호주에 사는데 GV80이 신차로 11만호주 달러인데, 대부분 코멘트에 쓰는 말이 차는 괜찮으니 1-2년 있다가 반값이하로 떨어지면 살생각있다고 다들 ㅋㅋ. G80이 정가는 8-9만 호주달러인데, 지금 1년지난 데모차는 5만불대, 중고는 거래가 거의 없긴 하지만 가끔 4만불대에 주행거리 15000km이하 매물이 있더군요.

Приятное путешествие получилось. Словно сам прокатился по ночной Корее. Люблю ночные покатушки. Из того на что обратил внимание: Чистые, очень чистые дороги, с разметкой которую как будто нарисовали только вчера. Голубая разметка на некоторых участках дороги. Практически на всем протяжение отсутствие полноценной обочины. 90% машин - корейские, вызывает гордость за Корейцев, это как если бы у нас 90% ездили бы на ладах и газельках) Чистые машины, вот реально не одной грязной машины. Дисциплинированность водителей, нарисовано на дороге 80 - весь поток едет 80-90 и это по прямой в пять полос. Пару раз до сотки разгонялись, но там полагаю это допускалось. Корейцы тоже благодарят «авариечкой»=)

I'm surprised. I expected it to be quiet with thick glass. But if you listen to the tunnel section, there is a big difference in sound between when it is in the tunnel (loud) and when it emerges from it (quieter). That means a lot of sound is coming in from the outside. I'm sure it's still very good, but that suggests it wasn't benchmarked off the quietest cars and SUVs.

If i get a chance to drive one before i get my next vehicle i'll check out noise specifically because that's important to me, plus hyundai/genesis made a big deal out of the RANC (noise cancelation) but the noise level to me in the video are completely unacceptable. I'm guessing a mercedes GLE for example is a LOT quieter. Mb does (no surprise) 'option' out the 'insulation package' ($$$).

The steering design seems to make more turns than it really is.

It is done so as it is a luxury car and turning a steering wheel easily is one of the draws of luxury vehicles. When you get used to an electronic assisted steering wheel, going back driving a Honda or Toyota is not as much fun, not just because of the drive itself, but the steering wheel is harder to turn. It's these little things that all add up to create an amazing experience and thus these premium vehicles command the premium price because they're providing you a lot of comfort and ease in everything.

LOVE the car, but that's HORRIBLE fuel economy for that kind of travel. The car will not be able to compete in European Markets with a fuel economy this bad. Compareable models in the EU with similar horsepower are 3-3,5 l/100km more efficient.

Genesis has done a phenomenal job of getting the market used to seeing high quality vehicles. I have a 2013 Genesis sedan & the car has 211,351 miles & I have done nothing to the car except for change the oil. The build quality proof is in the pudding. Keep up the awesome work Genesis.

Love the design of it, only thing, I wish the D-pillar didn't rise so up like that, I feel like it leaves too much empty space, cuts on visibility and reduces natural light. At 67.5 inches tall, I don't know why they bothered with a 3rd row. People like me over 6 feet tall will have no head room there, lexus did the same mistake with the RX-L. Despite those small details if they ever come with a GV80 sport I will give this a serious look. Btw great night video!

Keep in mind all foreigners reading this article. Your GV80 can be turned off on the highway and the steering wheel can be locked. If possible, buy a 3.5 turbo instead of a 2.5 turbo. In Korea, buyers are overflowing with huge defects.

Regardless of cosmetics, including body shape & structures & bells and whistles, does the Genesis can be match with the Lexus in terms of driving quality and reliability? Anyone's opinion? I understand the history of Genesis is too short to discuss about the reliability now but... I like to have some input before making a decision on purchasing one. It might be the last gas powered car I'd buy.

in my country, there is only 1 trim which highest trim and V6, price is a bit higher than what factory set 109k USD, but i did test drove for 2 full days and let me tell you, it is truly an eye-catcher, the amount of people who took pictures is so much. when i drove i people took picture and when i park some get closer and take a picture, Genesis did an amazing job on the exterior/interior, just sad they are not offering good deals in my country otherwise these will sell like range rovers

Don't purchase it. Controversial car. Hyundai Workers are notorius for neglecting their job. They're watching youtube and listening to music by earphone while assembling cars. They get salary more than bentz or toyota.

Seems to be none of viewers have ever driven genesis in real life. These cars are quite noisy, noise and vibration are the same as in mid-class sedans, especially on the second row. And speed bump at 4:00 shows this. Genesis still pretends to be luxurious: flashy Asian design, a lot of electronics, but what about longevity/bugs/rust/etc, fixed at last or owner is still a beta-tester?
