I was lucky enough to put a couple miles on one of these. Engine and transmission is super smooth as expected. I was most surprised how quiet the interior is, you forget it is a diesel engine.

I have this size diesel (3.0L inline 6) in a car with twin turbos BMW 335D. it's tuned and puts down 364whp/600lb torque. It's so much torque it's almost silly in a small car but it's a blast.
