Nice. I just turned over the first 1000 miles on my little black 2023. It's my fourteenth bike and the smallest I've ever owned, having learned on a KZ1000 a few centuries ago. I bought this little demon after selling my 800-lb Harley bagger, and I LOVE the bike for zipping around back country roads in my area. I like your mods. They enhance instead of destroy the aesthetics of the original. Congrats!

Thinking of getting this bike for commuting, thanks for putting the video out. Your bike looks cool with the extras. 👍

Those bikes are fantastic year-round rides in the wet British climate because all the external parts are painted aluminium or plastic which comes up like new after a wash down. No corrosion on mine apart from a few nuts and bolts. Pretty amazing. The mild steel and wafer-thin chrome on older bikes used to look rubbish after just one winter. Great vid. Thanks.

You unintentionally answered one of my questions about this bike. I actually live in Dallas as well and have been toying with the idea of getting this bike or something potentially bigger. As I get closer to 30 years old I find myself enjoying taking things a bit slower now, so I think this might just do the trick! Happy riding!

@@Russtherider116 this would be my first bike, and mostly taking it around town, but eventually I would want to take it on the highway for some trips once I’m comfortable doing so. I saw you mentioning over 70 it definitely feels like you’re pushing it. Do you think taking it to Tyler (90 miles east of Dallas) would be safely doable? Thanks again for all of your helpful info!!
@Russtherider1162 жыл бұрын
@@SeanLarrinaga it would definitely be doable. I've road 300-400 miles In a day on this bike no issues on the highway. People say pushing them to highway speeds is hard on the motors. I don't think that is true. I have. Almost 11k miles and have had 0 mechanical issues
@tomaszskowron29812 ай бұрын
@@Russtherider116 hello, So if I needed to keep speed between 60 and 65 mph on highways (100 km/h speed limit in Netherlands) the engine would handle it well, correct? Even after 200 000 km I hope the engine would still be in good condition. Is it doable with a passenger on short distances up to 40-50 km (25-30 miles)? I only wish the seat for the passenger was a bit bigger and actually, I would like this bike to have a slightly bigger engine at least full 300cc and a bit longer piston stroke in order to have a bit more torque at slightly lower rpm even at a cost of a lower top speed. Apart from that, it must be amazing to drive such a light motorcycle across a city. Greetings and ride safely!

Really looking into getting this Motorcycle as my first bike (have an electric one coming in soon in the next few months too). Knowing you ride this in the highway in Dallas is reassuring. I'm from Dallas area myself and been putting in some research on this bike. I really like a lot with it. Only issue I have with it currently is the Battery which I believe everyone hates where its located IIRC. Glad to know its not a chore to ride and that you can ride long distances without many issues. Liking the mods btw and looks good.
@Russtherider116 Жыл бұрын
Honestly I replaced the battery and it's not that bad if you're mechanically inclined. Hr or so job. It's a great commuter bike honestly already looking to get another naked alongside my Harley. I'm highly considering the CF Moto 700

@@Russtherider116 Yea I don't think It would be too much of an issue too. My brother is big time tinkerer with a lot of stuff and owns an old R1 (2004 I believe) and still rides it so he will probably be the first person I ride it to once I get it. Assuming I do purchase this one. Really like the look. If you have any tips on where to purchase one, let me know. I'd really appreciate that. Obviously trying to save as much money when getting it. Great video, I have the same bike, 2019. Been riding about 9 years and ridden so many different bikes, this by far is the most fun I have had on 2 wheels. I did a pipe too, ebay midpipe and a cheap amazon slip on, got one with baffles though, didn't want a straight pipe and it's plenty loud enough. Solid amount of miles, good review, Hondas for the win! Have any track footage?

Thanks for review. How many miles did you get on your stock rear tire? Also I understand gas mileage. I have 5000 miles and at first east 70mpg but riding it now between 7000-8500 rpm on the regular makes it start going down quit a bit. I can tell torque starts to drop at 9000 rpm. Bike is so much fun because at first you drive low RPM and then after experience you learn the bike really wants 7500 rpm and makes a slow bike fast.

They were fine on the road I didn't notice much difference except in the rain. They are very expensive 310 for a set and they wore out in 4000 miles in the rear. I swapped them to start going to track days

Hi bro, thanks for the video. I'm about to take my training and I don't know what size to get. I'm in a budget and main reason why I want a bike is for my daily 30 mile round trip freeway commute and I'm 6'1 at 250 pounds. I can't pay cash, so I'll have to finance and I'm aiming at $5k, but all 500cc are like $7. My top 3 are the Husqvarna svartpilen 401, then the honda rebel and this model the cb300r. Most of my friends tell me to get a 500, but I don't know if to stretch my payments since I want to keep the bike for a long time and I got other plans in life other than been changing bikes like if they were socks. I don't like sports bikes and I'm ore of a scrambler, ADV crusher dude.

Did you have to adjust the valves after so many miles? I’d like to have something that I really don’t have to tinker with and I know Hondas are known for their reliability.
@Russtherider1162 жыл бұрын
Honda recommends a valve check at 16,000 miles I think that's much higher than alot of others. It's a very low maintenance bike. Cost of ownership has been very little. I own the bike so I have liability insurance. I don't see a point in having full coverage on a 5000 dollar bike. I wrecked the bike and it damaged a lot and it was I think like 700 bucks to replace everything. So I pay like $120 bucks a year for insurance. I get about 40mpg the bike is rated for a lot higher but i ride it maxed out all the time. I basically track this bike to work daily like I ride it hard. I have had 0 mechanical issues. I do recommend buying cash no need in paying payments on a bike like this
@Russtherider1162 жыл бұрын
Actually now that I think of it on my way home today I am noticing that I'm having more false neutrals so I may end up having to replace the clutch which could be my fault I ride alot harder on a daily basis than most would.
