Here we have the new 2021 Honda CR-V LX! This CR-V comes in radiant red metallic on gray cloth interior. The powertrain consists of a 1.5 liter turbocharged 4 cylinder engine mated to a continuously variable transmission.

Bought this in the EX trim last week. Love it, but a few negatives: The road noise is bad. I traded a crew cab Silverado for this. I always thought it was loud, but the CRV is way louder. I'm also not a fan of the brake assist or lane assist. It's too sensitive. I'm a control freak, though, so it may just be me. Mileage has averaged 36 mpg, which is great. It's really fun to drive and easy to park just about anywhere. The Radiant Red is beautiful. I thought I wanted the Aegean Blue, but it was only available with all black interior. The light grey in the red is beautiful.

you can adjust the sensitivity in the settings on the center console and I believe all but the Brake Mitigation system (BMS) can be turned off the BMS defaults to on every time you start the car but you can disable it at the start of the drive.

One of the first thing I did was turned off the brake assist and lane keep. I had it turn on once while turning into a fork doing highway speeds, it needs a lot of work.

I got it for bad weather in Michigan also my 42-year-old self finds it hard to get in and out of my civic, so not having to crouch down to get in the car is a plus the seats though (at least in mine) are not comfortable for prolonged periods, the driver's side especially feels like the seat is uneven the left side feels slightly reclined compared to the right causing uneven back support for me anyway. That is my biggest complaint is the seats.

The steering wheel is fairly cushiony compared to the hard bigwheel plastic on the HR-V. I’m not as tempted to switch it out for a leather one.

I prefer the CR-V for reliability, and base to base model I think it’s the better deal in terms of safety unless you get 360 co-pilot package on escape.

The road noise in our 2019 Toyota Rav4 is louder though. When we test drove a 2021 CRV E-XL there was a noticeable difference.

Better than older Nissan’s CVT, that’s why they get a bad rap.

The most reliable CVT is the one with the physical first gear, found in the Corolla and the Lexus UX 200.

OMG, that thing is so loud just idling! I have a 1997 Toyota Camry I purchased new 24 years ago with 130,000 miles and you still think the car isn't on when it's idling or being driven because you can't hear the engine. I won't be buying a Honda CR-V.

I read somewhere that this car is not very quick! For me I would not purchase this car.....
