Interesting that you say that, I kind of thought that at first when I bought my CX -5 , but in a very short period of time I really got used to it and I actually really like the look. I just bought a 2021 Mazda CX-5 (Carbon Edition) w/ red leather seats, black wheels, turbo engine (227 hp), and AWD for exactly $34,500. That's including the taxes, fees, and license plates. And I'm very happy, too, that my Mazda doesn't have iStop, Cylinder Deactivation, or a CVT transmission! All the Mazdas use a 6-speed automatic transmission instead of a CVT transmission.

Ditto. I bought a new 2020 CX-5 Touring Preferred six months ago and it's turning out to be an outstanding vehicle. Got it for $25K and some change. The only real complaint I have is that the Lane Keeping Assist feature is rather lame, but that's not the fault of Mazda's engineers.... it's been dumbed down intentionally, probably by their corporate lawyers who are afraid to release anything that gets too close to semi-self-driving function in the USA/North American market. Even the Canadians aren't allowed to have it, but in the Australian and several European markets, they include the full automatic lane centering feature enabled in he vehicle's software.

@@chicoandthem4n For long trips on the interstate highways, lane keeping /centering is a wonderful feature to have. In the lowly Hyundai Elantra rental cars I've driven, it works extremely well. If I want absolutely only full manual control over every nuance of my driving, I go drive my Audi A4 Quattro with 6-speed manual transmission to get that kind of driving experience. I bought the CX-5 to be a more comfortable, less fatiguing traveling machine and all around grocery-getter.

Mazda CX-5 is the best. I can't see how the Subaru can be at #1. The Subaru has had head gasket problems in the not so distant past, and I'm not sure if it's been fixed. I traded a 2017 Subaru outback for the base model CX5 sport all-wheel-drive model, I absolutely love the CX -5, it has a ton of options built in even at the Sport level. I test drove the Forrester, and while it had more storage room, I really preferred the Mazda. I’m also not a big fan of CVT engines which the Subaru has, as they often develop problems after 100,000 miles, plus I do not like stop start transmissions, the Mazda does not have that either, so it was a no-brainer for me.The Forrester was a very nice vehicle, , but I just felt you couldn’t come close to the driving experience you get in the CX -5 It’s a really wonderful vehicle at this price point.

It's happening just as I said it would...the healing phase of being "scared to death”is lung cancer, pneumonia, bronchitis and flu. You can also expect to see more appendix problems which are caused by being in fear for your life, feeling like a fish out of water, uncertain of your place in life. The longer the fear, the more serious the diagnosis. When the willful hostages are finally freed from their homes (because of media and government lies based on the fraudulent Germ Theory), and people begin to get happy and feel less stressed, the result will be the healing phase....of pneumonia, burst appendix, gallbladder issues, arthritis in certain joints, it’s all subjective to what your brain experienced at the moment of the conflict. The fear campaign has caused ALL the illnesses, not a Boogey Virus. Every disease is based on the Germ Theory, which was the theory of ONE man over 100 years ago. It was never proven to be 100% valid, and has not even been QUESTIONED again. Why? In order for a theory to be valid, it must be reproduceable in each and every person 100% of the time. Every single person exposed to a "virus" MUST get sick from it 100% of the time, over and over again. It's how you PROVE a theory is valid. This was never done. Scientists used to think witches and witchcraft were valid!! Educated people?? hahaha!! If you cannot "catch" cancer, arthritis or diabetes from another person, then you cannot "catch" a cold or flu. There is no such thing that only SOME diseases are communicable, but not all. It's either all or none of them...they are all based on the same Germ Theory. If you can't "catch" someone's lung cancer, you can't "catch" their colds or flu. Upsetting and distressing events in a person's life is what cause ALL cancer and cancer-equivalent disease, cold, flu, pneumonia, bronchitis, etc. The cause of death in Small Pox was PNEUMONIA, not acne lesions. The only people who “caught” Small Pox were the ones who were attacking each other..Indians and Militia....people who feared and were attacked by each other. A massive fear campaign will CAUSE people to be "worried sick", but sickness doesn't happen until people resolve their fears. Why do you think kids get sick in October? Because their fear of going back to school and being upset about it finally dissolves, and they get back into their routines. What the media and government is doing to people is criminal. Western Medicine is pure fraud. I can't be the only person in this disgustingly brainwashed world who knows about German New Medicine.

@@barackblows1942 I have been looking into a RAV4 hybrid and started with those concerns. All research I did says maintain the cost of hybrid is no more and maybe less than the gas equivalent. Batteries have no maintenance (other than don’t block the air vent and replace the air filter), typically last well over 200,000 miles, electric motors are far less complex and reliable than a gas engine and Toyota’s eCVT is mechanically far less complex than a manual, automatic, dual clutch transmission and a traditional CVT. The hybrid would not likely re-sell for less than the gas version after you figure the fuel saving into the cost of ownership. CVTs have improved a lot. I know folks with cars with CVTs that have well over 200 or even 300,000 miles on them with no issues. If you want a true small SUV the Subaru is the only choice. It has the ground clearance and "real" AWD that will get you places the others can only dream about. Of course, most folks will never take any of these off road, or on anything more challenging than a maintained gravel road; but even in snow on an unplowed paved road clearance can make all the difference.

Hyundai's longer warranty ain't all it's cracked up to be either. On paper it's longer duration, but in practice if anything major happens under warranty, you'll have to fight them to get them to honor it. Years ago everyone charged a lot of cash for routine look overs. Most people don’t pay these anymore. Most dealers still do it for free to try to drum business from customers. A friend of mine has a 2015 Subaru Forester, hmmm, that’s yours too. To change the air filter and cabin filter they wanted about $150. I ordered the parts from Rock Auto for about $30 (hepa cabin filter [about $20 pretty pricey, she has allergies, I usually spend about $5-7] and $10 for Air filter ($30 incl S&H+tax). It took me less than 15 minutes.
