I own a 2011 Honda Odyssey. I routinely tow a covered utility trailer; simultaneously transporting big dogs (older dogs) who appreciate the easy/exit out of the side doors, because I have one of the second row seats removed, along with the second row center console. The older big dogs also appreciate the aft row of seats stow flush with the floor. I appreciate that I can lay down a weather matt to catch debris. Quite possibly, the nicest and most functional vehicle I've ever driven. I really appreciate being able to remove the 2nd row seats. I also appreciate being able to tow the covered utility trailer. Just an amazing engineering design, way to go Honda!

I have been driving only Hond's since 1989. I recently needed a van but I absolutely needed an all-wheel drive so I ended up with a Toyota Sienna. I had a 2012 Odyssey and got rid of it because it was terrible in the snow. I cant believe that the Odyssey still does not have all-wheel drive. It broke my heart to have to leave Honda for another car but I could not drive another vehicle without all-wheel drive on the east coast.

One option that used to be standard is the roof rack. Now you have to add it. Likely a result of seeking every single mpg available, but currently Honda has a nationwide backorder situation on roof racks. Come on Honda, build what your customers want from the start.

Agree with you 100% with Honda AC systems. I had a 2009 Honda Fit. I figured it’s a small engine, maybe that’s why the AC sucks. Drive a 2019 Passport now and same thing. It takes at least 15 minutes for cold air to come out. Very noticible driving in Sacramento when it’s 110 degrees.

I have a 2019 Pilot in Sac too. I almost always use remote start in the summer now. They sure don't make them like they use to in the 90s. On a side note, I wish Honda would of put the 10 speed transmission in both the Pilot and Passport for 2019+. I also wish they would've use electrical e-brake and hold with slow speed follow. My 2019 Accord spoiled me so.

I am considering used 2018 - 2020 odyssey. Personally I feel Odyssey is more slick looking with better seats in all rows with better material. I have 2006 odyssey and thinking to buy another... 2021 Sienna third row doesn’t go flat still has that hump which looks crazy.... With the current low gas price not sure about 2021 Sienna !! Any thoughts ??

Why did they remove the rear entertainment for EX-L? Getting the more expensive grades just for an entertainment system is just stupid.

Yes it looks like RES has been removed as an option on the EXL for 2021.

Well that sucks. I think the EX-L is the sweet spot for people that can't stand gloss black interiors. No point of getting the Touring and up since Honda is giving you those LEDs headlights fully standard now. Having that RES is nice with a streaming stick like what I have on my 2019 Pilot Touring. I knew I wanted the RES and AWD so it made more sense for me to step up to the Touring model for a little more. It came with those nicer new reflective LEDs even though projector LEDs from the prior year Elite trim were standard now.

Adding LED headlights to even the base model is a huge benefit Honda gave consumers. You had to choose the 2nd highest trim to even see those before. Now just need Android carplay on base LX next yearband it'd be all you need

When they give you blind spot monitoring standard it usually means the car is cheap or has a horrible resale they need to give blind spot to give it more value

Thats why honda sells alot of mini vans. Now I hope honda has worked out the little bo bo that gave them fits. Now the front end looks great, and now fits in with the rest of the honda lineup. Its a distinguishing honda only look. Well done. At least it doesn't look cookie cutter, and blends in with everything else.

22 has vacuum delete. Honda had supplier issues with the vac, so they removed it.

Do the second row windows go up and down? Why no no sliding door option as the slider always breaks. Just put on a regular door. They always work. Why don’t the seats lay flat for weekend camping? Honda get with the real world people live to weekend RV.

Toyota redesigned. Honda refreshed. I believe when honda redesigns the odyssey the Toyota sienna will not look as good as the Honda.

This is a mid-cycle refresh for the Odyssey. Toyota just released an all-new, fully-redesigned Sienna. There is a big difference between a refresh and a redesign.

Anyone know if the 2020 model will get the complete Sense Safety updates? Is it just an OTA update or is the full Sense features only available for 2021? Other than the front exterior redesign, there doesn't seem to be that much of a difference between 2020 and 2021.

I do love LKAS and ACC. I jam a water bottle in the bottom corner of the steering wheel and it never gives me a steering required warning. Great for long trips.

Earlier this year I'd pick this. I'm going to purchase the 2021 Sienna: 33mpg Hybrid, AWD, Second row has more USB even on the base model, base model LE has safety suite and Carplay/Android Auto standard, Regular gear shifter instead of pushbuttons, More ground clearance (Ody is only 4"), 1500Watt inverter, and the list goes on. 2021 Sienna also just plains looks better in my opinion except for the ugly rear fake air ducts under the lights. I'm predicting Honda loses the best selling Minivan crown next year as this isn't going to be competitive with Sienna, 2021 Pacifica, and the best looking of the bunch 2022 Sedona.

Le Roy I sat in a 2020 model at LA Auto show last year and was impressed. I think the interior and infotainment is the best in class. I like the stow and go seats but they are thinner and less comfy in order to stow. For 2021 they added AWD. The plugin hybrid model is interesting but it seems they are having a lot of reliability issues massive recall right now. I like the looks better than Ody. I believe it still uses the ZF German sourced 9 speed transmission that was also problematic in the Ody prior to 2020. Honda dumped that transmission for their own built 10 speed last year. It would be a tough call between these two for 2021 but reliability probably would go to Honda this year back in 2019 I’d of said Pacifica was more reliable.

Le Roy I believe they are debuting/revealing the 2022 Carnival/Sedona on August 18th at least in Korea they are which will give us a better look. Not sure when US debut but likely won’t be available until early next year at the earliest. Also not sure if hybrid will be available. Not gonna wait that long though and will buy Sienna although from what I’ve seen Sedona looks better. Asian Petrolhead youtuber always has the earliest reviews of Kias/Hyundai’s cause I believe he’s in Korea but good reviewer.

Sometimes customers don't take care of their cars, drive them up on sidewalk hitting curbs, driving over potholes or railroads without even slowing down never pressure washing underneath not checking engine or transmission fluid... And so on... And when something breaks it's all Honda's fault.
