There must be a difference between the 21 ridgeline models. I have an rtl-e and when i tried to change my cargo lights it's seemed they were led from the factory. Different wiring harness from yours

@@jamesakaflcruzr4277 look up videos on how to add a lock onto the tailgate. Earlier Ridgelines did not have a locking tailgate. You follow the same steps to get to the backup camera.
