The Camry certainly is a cheaper object for sure. However when I’m driving my 2010 Camry with 176,000 miles zero issues keep going it’s hard to switch. The Koreans have certainly gained respect now.

It's been nearly 20 years now. They started offering the 10 year power train 5yr/60K warranty back in 1999.

Thank you for the detailed video. When you got to the "automatic engine stop" - I got sad... This is a feature Ford has been plagued with problems with. Beautiful car though.

I found when driving the sonata, if you hit the brake much harder the car will turn off it’s engine.. I started pressing the brake very lightly to a complete stop and the engine doesn’t shut off. I do find it annoying that the car shuts off especially because you can feel lag when it turns back on.. other than that I have no complains about the sonata.

@@jeffreyariel2001 - my sister has a 2021 Honda CRV - same exact thing - it annoys her because she always has to be thinking about braking softly so the engine won't shut off. After 6 months she already wants to trade the Honda in.

Ehh, personally, I can't get over the exterior styling. I find it to be pretty polarizing... but honestly everything else about it is great! I can't believe this is a base model!

The Camry is a piece of shit compared to this. The Camry is a SE trim and I still like this base SE trim in the Sonata compared to my Camry

Is the 180-hp 1.6L turbo a better engine??

Actually it may have better torque but as the RPMs climb up it feels same as this base engine. In terms of reliability I don’t think the turbo 1.5 turbo will be good in the long run because it’s a small engine with a lot of boost that will cause premature wear. I think this base naturally aspirated 4cyl is plenty powerful

Great review my man. I know you said this Sonata is better than the Camry. Is this Sonata better than the 2020 Corolla SE you reviewed? I mean in terms of driving experience and fun driving?

Thank you very much! The Sonata is in a different class but the Corolla felt sportier with a little bit more road feel. I liked the Sonata but it was definitely a softer tuned suspension compared to the Camry LE and the Corolla. The sport model of the Sonata might be more sportier. As far as options in the Corolla and the Sonata, they both had plenty of features compared to the base Camry's

Loved everything about this beautiful car until I found out that they downgraded the motor to a 1.6 turbo as opposed to the 2.5 GDI. It is a shame as this is Pretty car with a sub par engine. The engine is worse than the base model which gets the 2.5GDI. Who the hell wants a 1.6 turbo compared to a 2.5L. the 1.6 liter turbo belongs in the base Elantra or a hybrid. Not in the Limited spec

Just to let you know I bought one 4 months ago . It came from the factory with no freon in the ac unit. Took it in and since it was a new car they changed the freon and the dealer said they didn't have any. About 1 hrs later they said it was fixed.🤔 later on in the week it wasn't working very well. Took it back to them twice more and they said that 48 degrees is good for ac. This is as good as it gets they said. Come to find out from 5 auto mechanics and another Hyundai dealer that the air can't run without freon and it will burn up the ac unit. So now I have a 2021 with hot air and it's still sitting on their lot waiting for a sensor part that's back ordered. I dont mind the sensor going out but the air???? I like the car and it's not the dealers fault on the air but I expect them to fix the air and they said they couldn't do anything to the air. I smell lemon law in my future. Hope if you get one ypu have better luck.

@@timburks3806 unfortunately sometimes when you buy a new car, they can come with some defects..its rare but it happens.. Best bet is if its not fixed after this repair go directly to your dealership and if its a 2020 im guessing that you bought it certified pre-owned and if you did then its probably covered under the warrenty
