I love my '21 Venue! I came from a '10 Fusion AWD. Living in Michigan, we get snow and I was a bit worried about how it would do, but we recently got 11" and the Venue did great in the snow, especially having a snow drive mode. The infotainment is great, though the speakers are a bit cheap, I wish there was an option for some brand name speakers. It definitely has some zip to it! Being only 121 hp, it doesn't have any issues getting up to speed considering the size of the vehicle

I didn't even know this model existed until my 2012 Fit Sport died a couple of days ago. All the SUVs seemed too big, but the salesman suggested I take a base (SE) for a test drive and it won me over by the time we got back to the dealership. Yes, I wish it had a little more power, but I have always liked tiny cars with tiny engines. Here in Florida there is no snow and barely any hills, let alone mountains, so I'm sure it will work out fine. Nice job with your review and the interaction with your family is very charming. My best to your family and I will be watching for more of your videos!

BOOM!😄 I can see the Venue fitting well for a young family with one kid watching every penny. Oh, and I learned to drive in the Sierra Nevada. Our house was a quarter mile off the highway on a dirt road. My first junky car was a Toyota Celica with real wheel drive. Only once was I not able to get up our driveway after a freak snow storm (at 2,500 feet it didn't happen often). So yeah, even in the lower elevation hills and mountains of California all wheel drive is not necessary.

Great review Micah! I’ve been very impressed with the Venue since it was released. Nearly all the features you need and none you don’t. So much space for such a small footprint and I really like the clean lines. The front daytime running light ring is similar to its much larger cousin, the new Kia Telluride, and the taillights remind me a bit of Audis from a decade or so ago. All in all a very impressive car, especially considering the price. It actually seems like what a new mini should be, cheap, relatively attractive, simple, utilitarian, deceptively roomy... I will be recommending it to my friends who are in the market. I enjoy hearing all of your insights. Thanks again Muzio family!

I live in Wilmington DE and have a 22 highlander but was thinking of buying a secondary car for quick trips to Philly downtown. I rented the Venue in Orlando last year and really liked it. I think it offers a unique value proposition for a secondary car if you don't want a compact sedan. BTW love your videos Micah! You add a little "flare" and humor to the otherwise boring car review videos. I liked your videos better when they were under 10 minutes though (short and concise).

We currently lease a Honda Fit for a few reasons: parkability in the city, good storage practicality, and it's cheap. Seeing as they're not selling it anymore in the US this might be a good replacement (the HRV just ain't doing it for me and the CH-R is a whole 2 seconds slower 0-60 than the Fit)

I'll search the used car market for a 2020 Venue SE with a 6-speed manual transmission, and maybe that will make the full experience even more enjoyable!

I think it’s a great and affordable option. I honestly feel many Americans feel they need faster and more powerful cars when they aren’t entirely necessary. I get we want fun with driving but that’s just me. I don’t need something with a million horsepower or ridiculous torque. Just give me something with great features, real decent gas mileage, and make it affordable for me to get from point A to point B. I think this would fit the bill for what look for. I live in New England so I deal with winters. Fwd is perfectly fine for the 20+ years I’ve driven in winter and with a good set of snow tires, awd isn’t entirely a necessity that many seem to make it out to be.

@toddp73242 жыл бұрын
They are very, very similar--the Venue is essentially the replacement for the old Accent hatchback. The Venue offers more interior flexibility, but otherwise it comes down to which body shape you prefer. Same engine, same transmission, similar (though not exactly the same) trim packages. The Accent is built in Mexico, and the Venue is build in Korea; oddly, from what I've seen, the Accent seems to have fewer issues than the Venue, although that's based on owner reviews, which can be anecdotal.
